Re: Trying to be saved
Welcome Dutchman. How do you keep your ship flying and in good repair after all these centuries? Do you happen to have any leftover maps of where you buried your treasure near Apache Junction?

And Godspeed to you my ChildOriginally posted by LBC loving Dutchmen View PostThank you for your kind invitation priest_bimmer. But since I am from an unsaved country (and unsaved myself at the moment), I suspect that only an invitation from a True Christian (a Pastors one) is one I can take seriously. I haven't proven my Faith yet. I wouldn't want to spoil God's favorite country. And then there is the problem described in http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?p=809900 Not sure a trip on a ship would be less dangerous.
Many thanks for your warm welcome Humongous. I am not amongst the people living in windmills. I have slept in one. They are drafty, noisy and cramped (it was like the nightmare I had once of driving a russian commy car
). I can't understand why the majority of the Dutch people wants to live in them.
Now I must return to my Bible study, there is much to learn!
Godspeed

Re: Trying to be saved
I'm working as "nature maintainer" in one of our forests (there aren't that many here). Normally that would sound like a socialist job, but I'm only there for hunting the animals. So I'm one of the few actually allowed to shoot. For rabbits I'd use a .177. Laws are quite for sissy's here, so I'm only allowed a 4'' lift kit on my Dodge Ram
As of my hymns, I have found less complete lists of it, but the one below just reminds me of the significance of following the bible to the word (which stills costs me some efforts sometimes, as my knowledge of His word is not complete yet) and inspires me to continue learning:
O changeless Word of life and light,
A perfect rule to guide me,
I take thy counsels, trust thy truth,
And in my heart I hide thee.
Refrain
Precious Bible, precious Bible,
Book by inspiration given;
Precious Bible, precious Bible,
Light to guide our souls to Heav'n!
Thou Book divine, thy pages shine
With Heav'n's unfading glory;
Thou dost reveal to mortals here
The great redemption story.
Refrain
Here law and love and wisdom stand
Revealed through bygone ages,
And children read a message sweet
Upon thy simple pages.
Refrain
Untouched by time, or men's assaults,
This Word remains unshaken,
And those who build upon this rock
Will never be forsaken.
Refrain

Re: Trying to be saved
Well, welcome to these here Godly forums, Mr. Dutchman! I'm pleased to hear that you're walking the path of the righteous hand in hand with Christ our Savior!
My Mama (RIP) once had a calendar what had pictures of the Netherlands on every page. What's it like living inside of a windmill?
In His Name,
Lori H.

Re: Trying to be saved
A cautious and apprehensive welcome to you, young man. So many claim to love our Godly church, but really just want to mock us for loving our Savior, Jesus Christ. Tell us some more about yourself and we'll soon see if you love God or not.
How do you earn your shekels? What is your favorite caliber for rabbit? How tall is the lift kit on your truck? What is your favorite hymn?
I pray that your heart is sincere.
In Christ

Sorry, I see now that I spelled the name of one of His books wrong. Of course I meant Genesis. Will be more careful in the future.

Trying to be saved
Hi all,
I'm glad I found this forum, as in my country (The Netherlands) they have forsaken God. They don't even sell the right bible version!!! Luckily there are people that have put the KJV online (hopefully using JesOS). I see that the Trinity is properly appreciated and followed to the word. Keep up the good work
I find it hard to choose a favorite Bible verse, since it takes it out of the context of the complete word of God. So I have chosen one, as it is His first judgement upon men (or actually women), which at least makes one of the better summaries:
Genisis 3:16: Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
As for my favorite pie: unfortunately I can't find a woman to bake proper pies for me here. All the women in this wretched country seem to have abandoned Him
, as living in a socialist country isn't bad enough.
Godspeed, and I hope to learn quicker to obey His holy word with your helpTags: None
