    Re: It's on.

Just because it's not the 1600's anymore, why does that mean the Bible had changed? Why would the morals from then not apply to now?

The only things that have changed between 1611 and 2011 is the amount of heathens and the amount of sin. Murder was evil in 1611 and it still is evil today. Theft was a sin in 1611 and it is a sin today. And so on for every other sin listed in the Bible.

The idea that God can become antiquated and irrelevant is insane. God is timeless. God is forever. God knows what is best for us. That has not changed because some people stopped believing in Him, as a matter of fact it has only become more true and it has only become more important to spread the ideas of the Bible far and wide. And I do mean the real ideas from the Bible, not whatever people like you make up and attribute to the Bible without actually ever having opened one or knowing what is written inside.

And your last line about not being afraid of fags? Are you out of your mind? God annihilated Sodom because too many faggots congregated there. Every homosexual that visits here increases the chance of God wiping us out as yet another magnificent example of His Will and His Strength. I would not disagree with Him for using us as an example for the gays, but it is so unnecessary, we can still do so much good work converting people, it would be a shame to waste the opportunity by speaking with sinners (btw, mingling with non-Christians is one of the things expressly forbidden by God).

I found Jesus when I was 12 after going to one of those Call things that Lou Engle sets up every few years. Praying for that scumbag in my classes at school felt powerful to such an extent that I started-

WOW, why am I wasting my time here babbling to some prototypical non-conformist Baptists? If you'll excuse me, I have a life to live.

    It's on.

Hey there, I'm Savannah Dawn. I'm your nice standard Christian girl. Maybe not in your terms, but only God can truly see who I am inside. Think what you like because it's alright with me. I can't say I'll take your advice, though.

Let me start by saying that all of you here are diving face forward into an antiquated path. You follow the the Bible word for word. I can understand that. It's what every Christian does. I've witnessed people who say that they're Christians, but never attend church, and for the record, barely even know a single word of the Bible. But all of you seem to take Christianity to the next level.

This isn't the 1600s anymore. And yet you take the simplistic KJV1611, which is complete with words of truth and perfection and the key to how people should live life, and twist every single word of it making it look like it's not even of the Bible. Your beliefs are based off of the world being flat, men being superior to women, and telling athiests that there is no hope for them whatsoever and that they will rot in hell for all eternity.

It doesn't make sense. I thought the Christian's job was to spread Jesus' Word in a respectful and truly godly manner. You guys are giving people the wrong idea. If you were Christians, you would at least try to treat the newbies better. And your opinions on Catholics: they aren't damned for all eternity. They actually have their central beliefs right, except for worshipping Mary (but keep in mind that she was still highly favored in the eyes of the Lord), adding false books to their bible, believing in purgatory (ironically the concept of purgatory came from one of those false books), and praying to saints.

Actually, scratch that. Some of the priests are pervs, but not all of them. Actually, they should just get rid of all the priests. One mistake of theirs is too many mistakes in total. They don't need a pope either. You see, what catholics try to do is bring Heaven down to earth. And when they do that, all the worldly crap has to be OUT. And then they have monks and nuns who actually AREN'T following God's command, which is to be fruitful and multiply. Well they sit in seclusion all day and pray to Mary.

Okay, so maybe you ARE right about catholics. Along with athiests, mormons, muslims, hindus (aka dot-heads), and the like.

Then you are total haters of homosexuality. Yeah, it IS wrong, just like lesbianism, but you seem to have this huge surge of fear and loathing come over you when someone announces they are gay or bi. I thought we were supposed to show even THEM the love of Jesus. Or are we?
