I'm pretty sure my father wasn't Satan. I don't believe in him either. But I'm not asking what the Bible says about it. I'm asking what YOU say! On another note, I understood the Bible, I just didn't believe it.

Actually, the Bible is not the "perfect and inerrant Word of God". I am sure that someone before me will have mentioned this, but there have been many iterations of the Bible before the King James Version including different translations, some of which had VAST differences and mistakes.

The KJV says that it is the inspired word of God. Therefore any book that contradicts it is false. Two logically contradictory propositions cannot both be true at the same time.

I am aware that I am on your turf, but can you give me something better than circular arguments? Please? Make me BELIEVE! I've READ the Bible and attended church. I sang for ten hours a week in the glory of the Lord! I want to see some attempts at justification!

For a final note, your faith is absolutely incredible. I wish I could believe in something, but unfortunately I cannot. I really admire those who can.

Without belief in Jesus, how are you ever going to understand that something like romantic love between two consenting members of the same sex is wrong, or that children should be stoned to death if they are unruly, or that women are inferior to men, or that the punishment for rape should be that you have to buy the woman from her father for 50 shekels? I imagine if I was an atheist like you, I would think that everyone should be equal, but I have GOD to set me straight!

Actually, two logically contradictory propositions CAN be true at the same time. It has been proved that light behaves like both a wave AND a particle: two things thought previously mutually exclusive

Thanks for your welcome. I'm pretty sure it was Christian, considering I attended every single service and concert during which there were Bible verses, sermons and Christian music. We also had a Bishop.

Based on what you are saying, it was not Christian, it was catlick as only the catlick cult has bishops and popes. Did you know, catlicks pray to mary, a 'virginal' mother of Jesus? Did you know Jesus and God are one and the same? Seems to me, you made some pretty important choices based on a lack of and poor quality knowledge.

I don't ignore God per se, I am aware that people believe in His existence, but I personally have to see something to believe it. I don't condemn anyone for believing anything I personally don't, but proof is always a good thing

Actually, Jesus of Nazareth DID exist around 4 BC, but whether or not he was the Son of God remains to be proven fact.

If you did a little research, you'd know that Jesus is the son of God and in fact, is God Himself. See, you cannot start a book or a subject, profess expertise until you have all the facts.

As an Englishmen I can tell you that the Church of England are not True Christians anymore. Maybe they were in 1611 however now they allow female vicars, bless gay marriages and go along with evolution. They have turned their back on God so cannot be considered Christian.

I'm sorry that you think that way. I was merely pointing out that he was wrong about me being Catholic. Also, the CofE does not bless gay marriage. Gay marriage can only be done in a civil partnership.

As for female clergy, most people find that a step forward. All the female priests I have met have done nothing but love their God.

Evolution, if you know all your facts, can be shown in a way that helps you show your God. Denying it just makes people look uninformed.

I am aware of that. I was merely pointing out that you had returned to the same argument that Jesus is fact because the literature glorifying him says so. That would be like me saying Harry Potter is the main character in a book, therefore he is real. I don't because he isn't.
