That was very long. I fell asleep and woke up and it was still there. But no worry, you're here now and I'm so very glad to "meet" you!

You should know that even that music you listen to is from Satan. You see, any music that has a beat faster than your heart beats gets your adrenaline going and that tells your brain to be prepared for fight or flight. That isn't from God. God doesn't give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of Love and Peace. You should only listen to very lovely, godly music. Here are some of my favorites:

Friend, I'm sure that ApologetiX band means well, but you have to understand those rock and roll tunes are still based on jungle rhythms which inflame the libido and turn the listener's heart away from God. No amount of sunshiney lyrics will change that.

You might as well try to redeem an outhouse by putting a steeple on top and calling it a church.

Anyway, tell us more about yourself. How many sons do you have, and what's your favorite hunting rifle?

Oh my I didn't realize how long that was. I am so sorry, forgive me. I can be quite long-winded at times.

I just thought I'd introduce myself here. It's really wonderful to find such a refreshing group of True Bible-Believing Christians.

Anyways I just thought I'd follow the instructions at the top and make sure I don't mess up. I can err so much like the rest of us that those are some handy instructions.

So, first off: I just left a church... Part of the "Sovereign Grace" movement of churches... The leader of the whole movement had to step down to to fraud, lying, deceit, and arrogance... I shudder to think I thought it was a wonderful place to call home. So that makes me currently seeking a church, I suppose. I know that if I seek diligently God will lead me to the right one.

Next: Favorite Bible verse! Definitely many to choose from, but I'll have to stick with my all-time favorite of Romans 10:8-13. "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." In fact, it's the story behind my user name here. His grace saved me and I will praise his name forever.

Last (I think) is how God saved me! Wow, saving the best for last.

Anyways, it's really simple. I was lost in the darkness of sin and depravity, listening to some rock music (I have now come to accept that secular rock music lyrics are created by the Devil himself). While I would not recommend listening to the song, as it may convince you to follow foolish paths, I can provide a sample of the utterly depraved lyrics to show God's amazing power in what he saved me from.
"Cut my life into pieces, this is my last resort...would it be wrong or would it be right, if I took my life tonight...I'm contemplating suicide, because I'm losing my sight, losing my mind; wish somebody would tell me I'm fine."

I was lost and so confused, and terrible depression was setting in. I had hid so much in my life from my parents, hiding it from the light. The Light of God's Truth shone through the darkness that was in my heart and pointed me to read Romans 10. It was if I was watching myself find a Bible and read the holy scriptures on the page before me.

I pulled up Google to learn more about this passage and was led (by roundabout means) to a wonderful gift from God: a music group known as ApologetiX. It turns out they take evangelism into the realm of music, turning godless, satanic songs into songs praising Christ and exhorting his name. In fact, they had taken that very song I had been listening to just moments ago and re-written the lyrics, Changing them to "Plug my life into Jesus, this gets my life restored...Because I belong to Jesus Christ, If they took my life tonight, chances are I'd arrive In a place that's out of sight, and I'm confident I'm doing fine...Because I'm improving my life, renewing my mind, This all started with Romans 10:9; Doing what's right, doin' quite fine; This all started with Romans 10:9!

I immediately wept, realizing that my life was not my own; my life belonged to Christ. I belonged to Christ. Who was I to take my own life? "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

I devoted my life to Christ's work that very moment. I was baptized the following day (this happened on a Saturday morning) after talking with my father and pastors.

I am so glad to be able to celebrate Christ's joy in my life now! Before he saved me I was depressed, alone, utterly helpless, but he has brought true joy I never thought possible! Everyone needs this joy and it greatly saddens me that so many refuse Christ and turn away from him.

And anyways, that's me. Nice to met you! To sum it all up: God's grace is amazing. Don't listen to satan's music, go listen to ApologetiX's music instead. You never know what God will do in your heart.
