Well, I don't know about theology, after all I am just a woman myself, but I look at God's Word in the book of Deuteronomy and I don't see anything about him being a believer or being a good man or even being in love with you. I do see something about him paying your father, but not about that other stuff. There's no need to be greedy.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Fifty shekels is about $270 though it must be paid in silver so the dollar amount is moot.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Is this old testament? I am just curious, I am not asking to be disrespectful.

I know you are just a female, a shekel varied, but it was usually from one third to one half of an ounce. We prefer to go heavy when God is involved.

Luke 4:4

King James Version (KJV)

4And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
The Old Testament is still the word of God. Jesus says we should follow it.

You should read your Bible more carefully, then you wouldn't have to ask and risk sounding impertinent around men.

I remember at a church I attended they said the Old Testament is not what we should be going by, that it is the New Testament. I believe I was misinformed. I'm sorry.

Was that while you were pregnant or after you birthed him? What Church was it?

What is that, one of those False Christian Nudist Colonies they have down there?

Whoever they were, they lied to you! Nowhere in the Holy Bible does it command that we pick and choose which parts of the Word of God we should follow. Quite the contrary, Jesus commands us to obey EACH AND EVERY WORD!

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Just because it was in Florida (that I attended), you assume it was a Church that supported/participated in such a thing called 'Christian Nudist Colonies'. Excuse me if I am out of line, Pastor, but that is a very "Broad Generalization". Only Since one even EXISTS. Now I know.
