Hi everyone!
My name is Molly. I've been a member of a baptist church in my town (in the Southeast) since I've lived here, but my parents joined another church eight years ago and I visit with them sometimes. It doesn't belong to a denomination, but it's basically early puritanism with some Calvinism (there are a lot of Huguenots here by way of Charleston) and the oldest form of elder/deacon system.
My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29: 11. It's my "life verse:"
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
I became a Christian (or rather, He chose me) at 11 years old. I was at communion and didn't feel right taking it, since if the unsaved take communion, there will be twofold pain in eternity (I don't remember the passage for that, but I know it's there
)
At risk of boring you, I'll also say that my father is my role model. His name is Michael after the archangel. I love the angels because while they are beautiful and full of wisdom and grace, they are ultimately holy warriors. My dad has lived up to his name and I hope to follow in his example.
Thanks guys. Feel free to ask anything because I know this post is getting a bit TL;DR
