    Hello

My name is Patrick Morude, and I am a senior in high school, and am going to North Georgia College and State University next year on an Army ROTC scholarship. I have come to this forum to hear both sides of the religious "debate" (it seems silly to even call it that...) because I feel as though my parents, church, government and friends have all been too kind with their religious views.

In summation, I wish just to share my faith with like minded people in a constructive way. I wish for my time here to be useful, informative, and to draw me closer to the Lord.

This is not a debate forum. Please read THIS.

What is your faith? You haven't really told us much about that. What church do you attend? What are some of your favorite Bible Scriptures? Are you prepared to turn queer for Obama's army?

If you'd like to find out more about Landover Baptist Church, please read THIS thread created especially for new posters.

If you have a question, use the "search" function before posting it. Most likely it is being discussed somewhere on this Godly forum. Please don't waste God's precious bandwidth.

      Re: Hello

      Sir,

I will answer your inquires in order:

I completely agree with the first link. Faith isn't a debate, and I simply don't understand why people like to think that it is. It's like debating whether or not breathing is necessary. You don't debate fact. That was the only point I was trying to make with my previous statement.

I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. I do not attend church, but devote my Sunday mornings and early afternoons to bible study.

I am struck by your statement "turn gay for Obama's army" and don't know what you mean by it. If you are asking if I am a supporter of him, I am not. Am I gay? No, I am not. Am I going to go gay to join the Army? No. I am content to simply join the Army.

By far my most favorite biblical verse is Exodus 15:3: "The Lord is a man of war." Aside from that, I like very much when Luke speaks of the divinity of Jesus in Luke 2:11.

Thus far, I have not had any questions which have necessitated using the search bar, but will keep that in mind.

I am aware of this, but thank you for reiterating it.

Thank you for this piece of information as well.

It seems as though we haven't gotten off to the best of starts, but I sincerely hope that my time on this forum will erase any doubt as to my believe in Jesus.

        Re: Hello

What is your motivation for joining the Army?

BTW, I also love Exodus 15! Especially the part where they show up at Marah after three days in the wilderness, but the water tastes nasty so God throws a TREE in there and makes the water potable:

(Exodus 15:25) "And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them."

I LOVE IT! Just grab a plant and *BAM!* you got drinking water!

        Yours in Christ,

            Re: Hello

Looking to the Bible, we see that acceptance into heaven is based not on doing so called "moral" things, but doing what the Bible commands. This means accepting the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into your heart and not questioning it. I also believe that to go to heaven, one needs to make as much of an effort as possible to convert others and publicly damn the non-believers like the Satanic Communist Barak Osama Obama.

My motivation for joining the Army is the oportunity to both enter into the Corps of Chaplins and spread the world of God and make sure homosexuals are propperly treated. We simply can't have them, running around in Iran, learning sheep... "breeding"... techniques, and returning home. I also wish to kill as many Statanics, Jews, homosexuals, and muslims as possible.

How can you consider yourself a Christian if you do not follow the Bible as God had it written? Being a Christian is not like being a little pregnant or a little dead.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

in Deuteronomy 17:2-3 it is made quite clear. God goes on to say the method of killing in 17:5... stoning! My personal favorite instrument of God's divine plan.

Close, friend. But that is speaking of apostates -- people who abandon God to worship false gods.

                            Note in verse 2:

2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the Lord thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the Lord thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
Only those subject to the covenant can break it.

Muslims and Satanists were not subject to the covenant, thus could not break it (unless they converted from Christianity); Jews have not broken the covenant as they still worship God, they just deny Jesus and will therefore spend eternity in Hell alongside the Muslims and Satanists.

So, people like Dan Barker, the guy from the Freedom From Religion Foundation. He used to be a false-Christian pastor. He became an atheist, worshiping Darwin and science. That makes him an apostate. Or Julia Roberts, who was raised a Christian, but became a Hindu. That's the kind of person this Scripture speaks of.

Thank you so much, I see it much more clearly. So it comes not from that verse, but one more like: Deuteronomy 13:13-15

Which then leads some non-believes to question why would you *have* to do that? Well, the answer is quite simple, and is found in Jeremiah 48:10.

I really do appreciate your help in figuring all this out. After taking a closer look at the Bible, under your guidance, it will be much easier to explain away my hostile tenancies against those various types of sinners.

You really are doing God's work.
