Take the story of Jacob, he decieved his father to get the blessing that was meant for Esau. Later Laban decieved Jacob by giving him Leah instead of Rachel. It's not a matter of karma, it's a matter of God teaching us when we do something wrong.

Perhaps... if you are a beleiver and sin continuously and refuse the Lord's correction you'll receive the sin you committed. If you lie you'll be lied to, if you hurt you will be hurt but the next verse takes it further that your sin affects not only you but your children. Like if you swear all the time, so will they.

I was reading the Leviticus and encountered this. Though I have no child of my own, I was wondering about all those sinner that repent.

Leviticus 26:27-30
If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, 28 then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters."

Do they need to eat their children even if they repent?
Does the nature of the sin need to be applied to the child?

Perhaps... if you are a beleiver and sin continuously and refuse the Lord's correction you'll receive the sin you committed. Exactly as I read it some years ago ... yet I started this discussion on the topic of the sins of the father on the son, and nobody has agreed with the consequences of the sin of the father to the son.

You do know what a congregation is, yes? Maybe that's a stretch to assume you know what words mean given the content of most of your posts.

Deuteronomy 23:1-8 are setting rules for the purity of those who congregate for the Lord. In no way is this passage stating you cannot find Christ and therefore Salvation. It is merely stating you cannot ever be an active part in any respectable church due to your impurity. You are akin to someone who has had their testicles marred, or their hanging doppelganger lopped off. It may behoove you to avoid any church as you may utterly defile it just by setting foot in the place, but it makes no mention of Heaven. At least in this piece of scripture.

So while you may not officially be able to Praise God with the holy on these forums (which we're still waiting for, by the way), you should still read His word and do as He commands.

He's not actually interested in the word of God; he's interested in riling us up and seeing if we have faith. This whole hissy fit is because He was rebuked with the actual context of his quote then shown to be a lazy dullard quote mining for controversial quotes to see what we have to say.

In the following scripture Jesus explains why He is deliberately obfuscatory in His ministry, using parables where plain language would suffice: He WANTS STUPID PEOPLE TO BE DAMNED! Praise to Him for recognizing that Heaven is only for the elite! Praise Jesus!
