  • Doubtful

I was reading the Leviticus and encountered this. Though I have no child of my own, I was wondering about all those sinner that repent.

    Leviticus 26:27-30
If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, 28 then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters."

Do they need to eat their children even if they repent?
Does the nature of the sin need to be applied to the child?

    Re: Doubtful

What would the children need to repent for? In you info light scenario the children have done nothing wrong.

And if the children are to be eaten because of continued hostility the hastily described senario ends.

    Hope that helps.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

So the siner doesn't need to eat his children as the Leviticus commands?

I fully understand what you say, what do the children of a siner have to do with the sins of the father? It was my 1st reaction, but then the better part of my self came back to its' senses and I realized: "Who am I to question which part of the Bible to follow and not!"

I also tought that this opens the door to some degenerate out there that could say: Well my father is jew/black/gay, my mother is jew/black/gay and i was raised to be a jew/black/gay and I had nothing to do with it, it's the sin of my parents, why should I pay and be tormented for it?

And we really want nothing to do with that.

Psalm 121:7 The LORD shall preserve you from all evil: he shall preserve your soul.
      Psalm 140:1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

When God commands you to eat your children, this is a loving warning from Him that you are Hellbound. It is His way of saying, "repent while there is still time." But you must of course obey the command.

I don't know what children taste like, but I would imagine it is something like veal, which is not so bad. I think the reason for not wanting to eat your children as God commands is sheer laziness. Westerners these days want all of their nourishment prepared for them, and they know if they eat their children they would have to prepare it themselves. It is important to be self-sufficient, so that we are not dependent on the Jew media for our food.

Anyway, he's questioning scripture which makes him probably an atheist pretending to be a fluffy bunny Christian to mock God and troll us to see if we stand by our Lord even when scripture gets nasty.

What ARE you on about? If God actually comes right out and tells you to eat your children then you munch away. That's not what He is doing here.

27And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. 30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. 31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. 32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. 33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

It's not a command to eat their flesh; it's a statement that you will be so wretchedly destroyed you will stoop this low for being a wretched heathen.

What you're doing is resorting to the sceptics annotated Bible or some such and trying to catch us out. This is not original and your troll colours are showing. Try harder.

40If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; 41And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: 42Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. 43The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. 44And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. 45But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

Friend, you sound like you're getting a little worked up here. Perhaps you'd like to take a deep breath and read Redeemed Papist's post again. In no way is he biased or incorrect, he's very simply bringing the Word of God into the discussion so it can speak for itself.

You sound exhausted. Spiritually exhausted. Would you like to confess your sins and let the Holy Spirit enter into your soul so you too can understand God's Word?
