Speaking of illusions.... Of course Jesus praised Love and Grace. What you're forgetting though is that He was speaking of His Chosen, not the general unwashed masses. They are still headed to hell just as quickly as possible. We aren't here to tickle any ears, my friend. We are here to spread the Word of God, unchanged and unfiltered. Sounds to me like you believe for all the wrong reasons. I believe because the Bible is an old book and that carries with it a certain air of authority, since we all know that people were much wiser back in the day, and God used to be more forthcoming with evidence of His existence than He is now. You believe because you heard a voice in your head. Have you had your head checked, son?

I have much better reasons for believing in the Bible than you do. For one, I have actually read the thing and determined that it could not have been written by mere iron age savages, that it must in fact have been inspired by an omniscient being. With passages describing in detail a prehistory that flies in the face of pretty much the whole of modern science, how could it have been written by mere human beings?

Also, the Bible contains portents of a future that hasn't even happened yet, and this was written down 2,000 years ago! How could the author of Revelation have known about events that wouldn't come to pass, even coincidentally, for more than 2,000 years?

See, I have good reasons for believing in God and the Bible. You just have your own private fantasy. So think twice before you judge a man of God.
