        You know, Zeke. The Book of Joanna is right after the Book of Noah, and it comes before the Four Books of Oprah.

        Don't you remember Joanna 5:42, "Thou shalt forgive those who are ignorant of the Word of God, and not mock them, but instruct them with gentle lovingkindness and rewards of baked goods for adequate performance, but never punish their failings as this may induce a shame spiral and irrevocably damage their self-esteem"?

        I'm glad I'm typing this. I'd never have been able to say that with a straight face!
        Bible boring? Nonsense!

          I first thought there was nothing worse than the self-absorbed "boomer" generation raised under the "permissiveness" of the infamous Dr. Benjamin Spock – it gave us the oval office felated Bill Clinton. But no, the Esalen Institute gave us the "human potential" movement that has produced the present insufferable generation addicted to "self esteem" to the point where no one can tell them that they FAIL.

          The only thing that will wake them up to Jesus is when the economy finally collapses, the power grid shuts down, and all their gaming consoles go dark.
          Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
          brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
          ...and get off my lawn

            To quote 2 Oprah 2:14 "You go brother. Preach it. Mmmm-hmmm"

            But in seriousness -

            Joshua:
            The Bible isn't hidden or written in some secret magical language that takes years of study to read. Its freely available, out of copyright in every country except the UK and freely available for reproduction there. There's no point saying things like "Isn't the Bible supposed to say this" or "Doesn't the Bible say that?"

            The True Christians on this forum can quote the entire Bible from memory. Even I, the tiniest step up from unsaved trash and certainly not saved, can get up to Esther. We know what the Bible says. We live our entire lives by it. If the Bible preached tolerance, love for a fellow man regardless or anything else that's what we'd be doing.

            If you're not like us, Joshua (or like the True Christians at least - please don't look to me as a role model) then you are in the wrong in God's eyes. You're not following his word.

            Long story short Joshua - instead of making up books of the Bible and saying "well, I think it says this and despite the fact I've pretty clearly never read it my opnion on what it says is definately more valuable than that of people who read it for hours every day" why not just go away and read it? Start at Genesis, read through to Revelation.

            Read it, learn what it says and do that. Then come back on this forum and you'll be received with open arms.
