    Hello

Hi everyone, my name's Karen and I'm just here doing some exploring but here's a little Q&A on me:

What Church do you go to? I go to Influencers Church, it's a large church in South Australia dedicated to saving the unsaved. I've been going for two years and it's amazing!!

What's your favourite bible verse? I like the whole bible but I really love the book of Esther. She's so insiprational.

How did you hear about Landover Baptist? Through a friend, who was kind of upset. So one reason I'm here is to find out why.

What's the other reason? To learn more about Christianity. What's your view?

How did you come to know Jesus? Wow, I grew up in a christian household so I've known about him all my life. However at the age of 14 I attended a youth camp where I gave my life to him.
But the story doesn't end there, at the age of 16 I got bored of church and left in search of something more. I got into sexual immorality in the search for love. This lasted for two years until I found myself walking past my current church, I was half drunk so I had little clue as to wether it really was a church or not. I stumbled in and the rest is history.
Now I'm here to tell others that we serve a God of second chances.
I suffered, so another girl wouldn't.
    Why are you here?
    Love, compassion, action.

Not to get overly personal, Karen, but is that a tattoo on your head?

No, it's only creative use of make up. I wouldn't go looking like that to my brothers wedding.

        Hello Karen
I am new here myself. I too enjoy reading the Book of Esther, my favourite verse is:

Esther 8 9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

        Whats yours?
        Genesis 7:5
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

        John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Hi Noah, nice to meet you. I love the book of Esther because it speaks of courage in hard times.

          My favourite verse? Here's one:
          2:15
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

When we take God's advice his favour is upon us.

So nice to have some body who seems to want to learn about God!

But you seem to have conveniently glossed over your time in immorality maybe confessing you sins would be a good start?

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

I have done that on several occasions since my time in immorality ended.
Don't worry I'm not forgetting God like last time.

The world of make up isn't restricted to eyeliner and lip colour, it's amazing what you can come up with with the right stuff. No I'm not a prosititute, I was.

Oh you still have much to do to prove your salvation in the eyes of the LORD then. I wouldn't want your former Satan-worshipping ways to resurface, especially with what looks like the devil's markings on your head.

Karen, can you find any Bible verses on makeup, jewelry, and the appearance of a woman, and how it relates to GOD?

                            It might be worth researching.

It only looks that way because the picture's been condensed. What's wrong with purple roses and swurls.
