Bla..Bla...
Next, I'll say I'm also a Martial Artist, with training in Shotokan Karate, and in Iaijutsu Swordsmanship. I also incorporate elements of Kung-Fu, Jiujitsu, and Drunken Boxing in my hand-to-hand style, and Kendo in my sword style.
Furthermore, I know a hand-to-hand technique that makes use of a natural energy called Ki to both heal and harm. Through thought and some prayer, I've arrived upon the conclusion that this energy is the same as one's soul, and as a result I'm capable of using my own soul as a weapon or a tool of healing.
So what?... You claimed that you've got these martial arts capability. But Let me tell you this; THAT CRAP JUST DOESN'T WORK IN THE REALITY!!!!! I've been spending over 5 years of my life battling yellow fellow slope headed pimps in Bangkok, who also claimed that they know all that ching chong martial art crap, and I happen to lay some good beating on their sissy rice eating behind without much complication.
Furthermore, some of the feats potentially possible with this technique were performed by Christ himself. Acts like calming the seas, and walking on water. With infinite time, training, and faith, any man could do such things. However, such capabilities are nearly impossible for any man with a lifespan of 100 years or so. I would guess at least a thousand would be needed to accomplish most of these acts.
Have you got any verse to back up that blasphemous assumption of yours, there fellow?
JESUS walks on water because he's the son of GOD!!! He didn't need to use any retarded ching chong antics, the way you do.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I've never been in a fight, and hope never to be in a fight, but I understand well that this world is far from peaceful. I'm prepared to injure, and even to kill, in order to protect those dear to me.
Why...You seems like a violent individual aren't you? I've a feeling that your whole purpose to be here is to harm and injure True Christians. And should that be the case then I'm going to keep an eye on you from now on, and report you to the feds should any attacks occurs to any of our Church members.
TheWielder does have a point, and I Personally believe we should at least hear him out before resorting to racist comments, Ignorant Stereotypes, name calling, and opinionated raging. i have only been on this sight for a short amount of time, and from what i have seen, TheWielder is making the most sense out of everyone. I go to the church at the local high school, and my favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Well, I didn't understand a lot of that. But one thing did catch my eye. Are the translations on the deep web of the Dead Sea Scrolls different to the ones we can easily get on the shallow web?
Also, Roberta is a True Christian. She wouldn't post porn, not like the wicked images you, apparently, had in your signature.
@Papist, no, I'm getting irritated because A) folk keep messing with what I post. My signature has been changed twice because it contained a Latin phrase, a video from youtube of a man shooting watermelons was removed and cited as "porn" (BTW, take a look at one of Roberta's posts on the first page. Pretty sure she posted more porn than I did, considering I haven't posted any), and I'm saying things with obvious meanings, and certain individuals are either purposefully or idiotically misinterpreting them.
@Didymus: Before I even start, you do realize you're arguing against your own position, right? I'm proving there must be some variety of Spirit (for example, God) and you're working against that.
--"Matter cannot get erased" That's exactly what the theory states is happening. I don't believe in it worth jack, I'm just stating the theory. There are many like it.
--Eternal: 4: Metaphysics: existing outside all relations of time; not subject to change. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/eternal
--Actual Philosophy (not to be confused with personal philosophy, such as a personal way of living) is founded entirely in reason. Reason is universal. It cannot be questioned, because it makes questioning possible. If you deny Reason, you deny all that there is in the universe, and you commit intellectual suicide. Uncaused events are unreasonable. And even if God made a leap over reason for this uncaused event to occur, he's still causing it.
--I'm not saying Energy and Antimatter do not exist. I'm saying that if the big bang theory is correct by any degree, then it proves the universe is not eternal, and I'm using the two concepts together with Matter to prove it.
--Debunk: toexpose or excoriate (a claim, assertion, sentiment, etc.) as being pretentious, false, orexaggerated:todebunkadvertising. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/debunk?s=ts Kinda tough to Debunk something when it's true.
--I really don't care if you believe me or not. The purpose of this thread was just to ask you guys some questions and have a fun conversation with some light debating. That idea has kinda been shattered.
--I'm not threatening anybody. I don't know how you guys are picking up on this, but I'm remaining calm throughout my posts. If I seem aggressive, then I apologize, I don't mean to. I could walk up to someone and give them a flower, or I could walk up to someone and give them a bullet through the skull. Saying so isn't threatening anybody, it's just stating physical possibilities.
--It was the last time I would say it, because I knew no one would listen afterwards. Or for that matter, beforehand.
@Oliver, You're arguing against your own position. Stating that Spirit is unnecessary is more or less stating that God is unnecessary.
@Bobby, again, I'm not threatening anyone. The Reverend essentially claimed that a massive chunk of my lifestyle is worthless. If someone claimed being a Republican was a bunch of baloney, I'd be offended, and I'm sure a large chunk of this site would be as well. Besides that, any threats I could possibly make would be worthless- I've no power over any of you, or any way to gain it. I don't know any method of finding out any information about you that I could use to my advantage. The most I could do is attempt to flood this site with a DDOS, and that would almost certainly be over in a couple hours if I did, making it pretty much useless.
@Faith_Machine, Matthew 2-14 through to 2-23, VS Luke 2-22 and 2-39. Respectively, they state that the infant Christ was taken to Egypt and that He was taken to Jerusalem, in what looks to me like the same time span. Mind clearing that up? And thanks for the Ad Hominem.
@Pastor Isaac, As I said, most of my work has been destroyed. One source, or perhaps I should say many sources, is known as the Deep Web. It makes up about 80% of the actual internet, and is blocked by most ISP's. However, if you can access it and know what you're doing (took me years to learn) you can gain access to some particularly interesting content. For example, government documents, images and direct translations of scrolls like the Dead Sea scrolls, not to mention analysis of such materials. Following every lead to every end, even keeping a massive map that covered three of the four walls of my bedroom at the time, eventually lead to some interesting conclusions. To spare myself the flaming, suffice it to say there are some events that Certainly occurred in the Bible, there are many events in the Bible which almost certainly happened, and some that almost certainly did not happen. We're talking a .00000001% chance of it happening. Well, that may be an exaggeration, but such things as Christ's resurrection are as proven as can be. I used to have the actual coordinates of what is believed to have been his tomb- personnel involved reported an unusual residue on the walls, one that shone very brightly. Moments later, the bottoms of their boots began to burn, which I would think to prove that the place was Holy Ground. Later testing proved the ground had no combustible properties, yet the same phenomenon occurred, with shoes burning away until only the feet remained, though by that point they'd been well burnt. Meanwhile, a man stepping barefoot onto the ground had no ill-effects reported. I believe this report was dated around 1930 or so.
Still wish I had that map, it would make this conversation a lot more interesting.
It's kind of Ironic... I know how to access restricted government material, but I can't even backtrace someone to their home.
@Pastor Isaac, I searched through the bible and other, related sources, found prophecies, predictions, etc... and correlations between things that, without divine influence, would not be possible to connect.
Please give examples.
I looked through all of this, found what I could that was immutable and irrefutable, and took it as fact.
By what method did you determine what was immutable and irrefutable and what wasn't?
I meant leave it open in my browser, so the instant I woke up, I'd be back in the conversation.
Still waiting for your reply, BTW.
We get about a hundred trolls a day coming here and telling us the Bible contradicts itself. If I typed out a unique response to every single one of you, I'd have no time left over for any of my hobbies, such as reading the Bible and praising Jesus.
Therefore, I will simply refer you to one of the many places on the Internet where your silly assertions have already been soundly refuted:
Well, if you’re like most people, I’m sure you’ve heard someone say “The Bible is full of contradictions.” Well, is this true? Does the Bible contradict itself?
Does the Bible Contradict Itself- A definition
Speaking of contradictions, let me begin by saying that two statements are said to contradict if the truth of one of the statements negates the truth of the other. Take for example the statements, “I have read the Bible,” and “I have never read the Bible.” Obviously, if one statement is true the other statement would have to be false. Let’s apply this to the Bible. Only after you can demonstrate that the truth of one passage, rules out the truth of another passage, can you justify the claim that the Bible contradicts itself.
Does the Bible Contradict Itself- A Closer Look
You see, many passages which seem to be in conflict are easily resolved by simply reading the text more carefully. In addition, an understanding of Greek or Hebrew, as well as a knowledge of geography and customs would be extremely helpful. Take for example the account of Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. In Acts 9:7 we read that during Paul’s encounter with Christ the men who were with him heard a voice. In Acts 22:9 we read that these men heard no voice. Well, what appears to be a hopeless contradiction is easily resolved by looking at the original Greek. Here we see a distinction between “hearing a sound as a noise” and “hearing a voice as a thought-conveying message.” Gleason Archer, an accomplished biblical scholar points out, that while Paul’s companions heard the Voice as a sound, Paul alone heard what was being said. (Kind of like the crowd who heard the sound of the Father talking to the Son in John 12:28, and thought they heard thunder.)
The point is that rather than taking a fearful attitude when faced with an alleged biblical contradiction, we should view these occasions as opportunities to search and explore the Scriptures. One thing I can guarantee is this: It will only serve to deepen your awe of the majesty of Scripture.
Does the Bible Contradict Itself- Conclusion
In fact, the more I personally read the Bible, the more I marvel at this awesome Book. How is it possible for forty different authors to write over a span of 1,600 years, on three continents, in three languages, on hundreds of subjects — yet, without contradiction — and with one central storyline, God’s redemption of mankind. Truly, it can be said without contradiction that the Bible must be divine, rather than human in origin.
@Reverend, I bow to God, and none other. Your comments towards Martial Arts, I find insulting. I know how to fight, how to actually fight. My girlfriend has not been in a fight, my Sword-Brother has been in multiple fights. And it was not a threat, it was a suggestion. One which few people seem to be observing.
Hold it there Rambo. You're little civi wannbe was cute up to this point, but now I have to step in. You throw down in my house, you deal with me Mr Know Many Arts, master of none. All your little Ki tricks won't work because I will ghost your backside so fast you will never know what hit you. This isn't a threat, this is how it is.
Wave your tonfues and numchucks all you want kid, but we security specialists are trained to deal with your type and we are watching.
If it isn't eternal, then it had a beginning. If it had a beginning, something had to cause the beginning, or else it was an uncaused event, which is philosophically impossible. Therefore there had to be something to cause it, and since there was nothing in the material world to cause it, there has to be something spiritual, as Spirit is the only aspect of the universe other than Matter.
Wow, beg the question much? A first-year course in quantum mechanics will teach you about many "philosophically impossible" things, including uncaused events. Spirit is an unnecessary hypothesis.
...Like I said, for the material world to be eternal, it must be self-maintaining. Hot things would have to stay hot, the sun would have to NOT burn out in a few million years, and the antimatter/matter interaction would have had to result in them both NOT being erased from existence. But hot things cool, the sun will burn out, and matter got erased, according to the theory. That makes the material world NOT self maintaining, and therefore it cannot be eternal...
Oy, where to start with this?
There was not just matter which came into existence in the Big Bang, there was also energy, and one can become the other (see Einstein). Matter can NOT "get erased".
You're confusing "eternal" with "never changing". All matter and energy in the universe are changing all the time, as the only state where there is no change is at absolute zero (which, by definition, cannot exist, other than theoretically).
...If it isn't eternal, then it had a beginning. If it had a beginning, something had to cause the beginning, or else it was an uncaused event, which is philosophically impossible...
Then there's a problem with your philosophy, not the universe.
...Therefore there had to be something to cause it, and since there was nothing in the material world to cause it, there has to be something spiritual, as Spirit is the only aspect of the universe other than Matter...
Prove energy and anti-matter do not exist. Then prove "Spirit" exists outside of your head.
...The one most important thing that I found was that Christ lived, He died, He fulfilled many prophecies, and that if anyone was the son of God, it was Him. Furthermore, I investigated other religions, analyzed them, and debunked them...
You debunked other religions, but were unable to do the same to Christianity? Uh, sure...
... I did my research. Sadly, most of the actual, physical research has been lost over time. Fires tend to do that...
I believe you (not).

If it looks like a threat, sounds like a threat, smells like a threat...
@Redeemed, last time I'll say this, choose your words carefully.
A heathen pretender is getting irritated because of good Godly rebukes for his behaviour in practising some sort of chink witchcraft instead of rightly praising Jesus for what He actually did and said.
