    New Around Here

I am new here. I am a housewife in the Bible Belt and I am ON FIRE FOR OUR LORD JESUS.

The good Lord did not bless us with children and at 55 I am afraid perhaps that ship has sailed!! (unless he opens my womb as he did Sarah's Gen. 17:19) Hope I don't get a surprise at age 90 like she did!!

Welcome! I love seeing new members. It is a shame you have not had children yet. You seem like a nice woman though.
    Lev.20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

How does everyone get those neat badges right under their names? I'll sure do my derndest to get that "Clean Kitchen" badge.

Welcome to God's favorite forum Sister – you do look like you are dedicated to keeping your kitchen clean and pure for the Lord; even to the point of your attire being a little thread bare.

At the moment it escapes me as to how the "Clean Kitchen" badge is awarded. It may be as a result of the inspections done by the Mayor's office during the annual pie tasting contest, or you may have to be nominated for it by the Ladies of Landover. In any event, I would suggest that your best bet is to pray, praise Jesus, and be obsequious to all the good Pastors here.
        Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
        ...and get off my lawn

Badges are earned. Perhaps there are a few men that could use their pots scrubbed thereby getting you noticed.

Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

also how does one join the Social Groups? I really want to join the Pie group. Here in Versailles KY Palace Trailer Park, I'm known as the Pie McGyver!!!

Give me a dried up turnip, a 6 volt lantern battery, and a roll of duct tape, and in less than an hour, I'll give you PIE!!!!!!

              Welcome to the forum Kitchenkeeper.
What is your favourite Bible verse?
              What inspires you?
The one that inspires me today is:

              Isaiah 36:12
But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

              Yours in Christ

              Noah
              Genesis 7:5
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.

WOW that certainly IS an inspiring verse!! I think the Bible teaches that those men need to sit OUTSIDE on that wall if they are gonna have that for lunch, because they aren't bringing that into MY clean kitchen!!

                My favorite verse:

1 Cor 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

This usually inspires me, and if any day I'm not particularly inspired, I ask my husband to pick out a verse for me.

                Or punish me.

You sure seem to have the makings of a good Christian woman. Is that really a picture of you? You don't look like you're 55 yrs old or is it an old picture? What are those strange black things on your legs?

oh you caught me!! that pic is 6 yrs old.

My husband likes me to keep my legs properly covered in silk stockings, and since I was never pregnant, I was never allowed to go barefoot in the kitchen.

A woman has to earn the right to be barefoot. Until then, most husbands prefer black stilletto heels.

Is that old southron saying "if you can't fry it I won't eat it" still true? I thought by now you might find catfish sashimi on local menus. What do your dry cleaners and 7-11 owners eat when they're out on the town?
