    Im new and have a few questions

    Basicly, I have some nit-picking to to in regards to parts of this site and the bible. I understand this is a forum about religion, and you wouldn't go to a car forum to complain about cars but i want to know.
    In a thread about atheists you say that they have beards, does it not say in leviticus 19:27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. ?
    Doesn't it also say in leviticus 19:26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. ? yet you say all atheists are vegatarians as an insult?
    Mylast question is about leviticus 19:19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee. I am more bothered about the "neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee" wich says you cant wear clothes of more than one thread. Do you follow all of these? If you dont then you cant be a real christian. If you dont follow these, what makes you follow the part in leviticus about gays getting stone to death?

    I haven't marred the corners of my beard. I shaved it off.

    I don't eat anything with blood. You'll see no black pudding around my house. The Bible says what meats are okay and are not. Besides, Jesus said we may eat all things overturning the dietary commands.

    Of course I don't wear mixed fabrics. Do you think I'm poor or something?

        My head's spinning.

        I thought "neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee" meant "neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee" but now I find out it means "you cant wear clothes of more than one thread."

        Does this mean more than one type of thread or literally more than one thread? Because, I have to be honest, ALL of my clothes have more than one thread to them.

        I am so thankful you've come Mr Question. Is there any other parts of the Bible that mean something else than what they say? Thank you so much for all the help so far.

        You know, I don't think I'm even going to dignify that with the sarcasm smiley.

        Anyway, I think you may be thinking of Leviticus 22:11 which makes it clear wool and linen are only an example.

          As a True Christian(TM) Lady of impeccable standards, I have campaigned tirelessly against the evils of blended fabrics. I do not even associate with women who dare to insult the Lord's authority by wearing poly/cotton blends.

          In my prayer circle, women are subjected to a "tag test" before they are admitted into the house to worship with us. Any tag indicating a mixture of fabrics in the garments worn by the woman in question is grounds for dismissal from the prayer circle.


          Such women would be better off going naked (but remaining within the confines of their homes) rather than flagrantly disobeying Almighty God in this manner.

          In addition to the specific instructions is the verses referred to, there is also the overarching lesson that the One True God is adamently against mixing of any kind. This includes pulling out bits and pieces of God's Word and weaving it in with humanist philosophy.

          God is One, and He has One Word, and there is only One Way that He provides for us to appease His righteous Wrath.

          This is by believing and following and obeying EVERYTHING that He has to say.
