I've been on the edge of losing my faith for a while and you people gave me that little push over the edge.

I've been getting some pretty good laughs and seen some quite disturbing posts on this forum over the last few days.

Just a few things I've seen.
1. Justification for rape

Yes, the Bible does say rape is OK if it is in the interest of obtaining a wife. But you must be sure the girl isn't betrothed to someone else, and be prepared to pay the 50 shekels of silver.

2. Selling young girls

The Bible does say this is an acceptable practice. Do you hate God?

3. Buying young girls underwear

If you mean Rev. Osborne buying underwear for a young girl, that was a gift vetted by her father. If you mean people buying the used underwear of young girls, that's a disgusting Japanese practice. We don't do that.

4. Obvious situations of homosexual statutory rape.

Yes, we do have a couple of Catholics on the forum, but they aren't True Christians™.

My friend, I'm going to explain something to you. I hope you will hear me out.

When you were growing up, you probably heard the same fuzzy fairy tales about Jesus that I did. You were told He loves everybody, and that everybody goes to Heaven. Right?

Right.

Now, you've come across some folks who read the Bible and do what it says. ALL of it, not just the bits they like. We've found that God and Jesus do not love everyone; they hate sinners and nonbelievers.

They hate them so much that they will resurrect them from unknowing death at Judgment, so they can burn them alive in their Lake of Fire for all eternity. Now that's some serious hate!

I suggest you do what I did. Read the Bible. All of it. You will learn the Truth about God and Jesus.

Let me tell you, friend, I had my doubts before reading the Bible. I wondered what would happen after I died. I wondered if maybe I had sinned without realizing it, and could find myself damned.

Once I read the Bible, it's as though the scales fell from my eyes. I understood Truth! I know who Jesus and God really are, and the true nature of sin! I never even think about what will happen after I die, because I know!

Wouldn't you like that certainty?

Here's how to get it:

Read the whole Bible. As you read each story, take notes about it. Maybe a quick summary, but also--this is important--say what the story tells you about who God is.

By the time you've finished just reading Genesis, you will have developed a far greater understanding of God than any false Christian preacher could give you in a decade of fluff sermons!

I get all my information from the Creator of all things, the LORD of Lords, Yahweh Himself in His very love letter to us, the Holy Bible!
