That's one of my favorite stories! I especially love how later, Moses rebukes his men for saving the adult women and the little boys (and babies) alive to be slaves, and orders them to kill all the boys (including baby boys) and the women who aren't still virgins, and to keep the virgin girls (of any age) as "wives".

Surely the extermination of the Midianites for choosing to worship a false god is the Godliest genocide in history!

If only we could follow Moses' example in America today.

Thank you for warm welcome. The name Peikko has been a long family name and the meaning has not been explained to me as it is not English. I beleave there were reason to have local name so we could practice our ways in peace on foreign land.

Gravedigging is good, honest work. And I hear cemeteries are a growth industry, people are dying to get in!

But I kid, we Christians like a good joke now and then! Anyway, nice to meet you and I hope you find a place here with us.

Oh, and I've always heard this happens now and then. Have you ever buried anyone alive?
Yes, but only in the name of GOD has this happened, i do as Priest have told and so i did.

Thank you for asking. I have been very busy at work ( Thank GOD ). He has been generous to provide me with a lot of work for past 28 years. I have all ready lived 30 years longer than my father did and i feel my seed is not strong anymore. But my son is now taking over my work and he has much more fertile fields to plow. I feel like my seed has been planted and the work is done and i can now learn GOD work and wait for His judgement.

started a topic Greetings, long lost Brothers.

    Greetings, long lost Brothers.

Good day fellow brothers, my name is Brother Peikko I´am 66 years old and i was born ( Praise Jesus! ) into a household where Christianity was preached.

I followed my father as he did his to devote my life to work at the cemetery as a gravedigger in the name of GOD the true Father. So i must admit that i have not been able to study the bible until now because of the nature of my work for GOD .

I discovered the internet yesterday (with the help of my 28 year old son who helps me to use this web browser ) and i found this forum that looks to be helping a lot of people. My wife died at my sons birth, and i know that was a sign from GOD that i didn´t do enough for him.

So now that i have passed most of the cemetery work to my son, i can devote rest of my life to study the bible and pass the knowledge to my son when he visits me, or when i see him on the work during slow hours.

Now i would like to post a part of the bible i´ve been reading as of late.

"31 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 aAvenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou bbe gathered unto thy people. 3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the Lord of Midian. 4 * Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war. 5 So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand carmed for war. 6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and dthe trumpets to blow in his hand. 7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses; and ethey slew all the males."

My ancestors came from America and we have kept it on our family to do how they were told to do so we have kept English as our language (no need to learn local language in our line of work) and King James Bible is of course the Bible we kept as our ancestors did as well.

I hope you all accept me as your brother and lets all Praise Jesus together and pass judgement the way GOD has told us.

If you have anything to ask for my life i will be happy to answer to my long lost brothers over seas.

Now we´re far away but in Heaven GOD unites us all again. So in few years we shall be with Him in peace.
Working...
