No, I haven't read Sir Salman Rushdie's book, and I don't have to. Sir Salman Rushdie did not invent the Satanic Verses, since the Quran itself warns us that several verses were dictated by the Devil.

Sir Salman Rushdie wrote about one example, Allah's three daughters, but the truth (i.e. truth, like in Quranic "truth") is that according to your own holy books, there are an unknown amount of other Satanic Verses. The Quran says that Allah will expose them - unfortunately it doesn't specify when.

To me that says loads about Islam: A prophet who can't tell the difference between the archangel Gabriel and the Devil.

Imagine a prophet who comes out and says, "This is the latest holy book, which corrects all the "errors" in The Holy Bible - and, oh incidentally , some parts of this wonderful new holy book were dictated by the Devil".

In these verses Mohammed not only admits that parts of the Quran were written by "Shaitan" (which really goes without saying), but he has the temerity to claim that all other prophets were also fooled by Satan, "We did not send before you any messenger or prophet blah blah blah".

But notice the wording, "Allah annuls that which the Shaitan casts, then does Allah establish His communications". It doesn't say when Allah is going to correct the Quran. The Satanic verses in 53:19-20 (those mentioned by Sir Salman) were fixed during Mohammed's lifetime, but according to the Quran, there may be countless others.

Unless of course, you'll claim that 22:52-53 are the true Satanic verses, but then it all becomes a bit circular.
