I really shouldn't tell him to hurry up and marry me. It might scare him off, and I won't get married as soon as you would like me to

Cranky Old Man is a paragon of True Christianity(tm): what he likes is a reflection of what God likes, I expect

You need to listen to him, think about what he says and follow it exactly.

      Think on!

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

You should never disagree with a True Christian. They are the voice of God here on Earth!
Ezekiel 36:26- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Wow. I just talked to my boyfriend about it, and he wants to get married. I guess I should listen to you all more often.

Please explain your contention that Mary is "in Heaven" and can "pray for you" in light of Ecclesiastes 9:5.

              Thanks!

It's not what I believe. But Catholics believe that the dead saints are in Heaven and are watching over us, they can pray for us and talk to God about helping us.

Those dead "saints" can't pray for us and they can't talk to God- they're in HELL. They are idols in the Catholic Church, and God has a very strong stance on idolatry-
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. (Exodus 20:4)

Turn you not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19:4)

Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen. (Deuteronomy 27:15)
Ezekiel 36:26- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Oh, have you abandoned Catholicism? Wonderful!!

That is great news, dear. Have you met my friend and all-powerful Master, Jesus?

I just have one question about marriage that I have searched for but couldn't find.

Is it okay to enjoy sex with your spouse?

If your husband allows it, sure. But I preach against such liberal practices, because selfish ideas like "enjoyment" lead to other selfish ideas like feminaziism, witchcraft, lezbeanism and so on.

Better to do your duty, get it over with, and pop out as many future soldiers for Christ that you can.
