  • Hello my fellow Brothers and Sisters!

My name is Cecil Blanch and I have heard about Landover from numerous fellow churchmembers and decided to explore some threads. It's very refreshing to find people around the world who truly love and accept the RIGHT God and his Son Jesus Christ! I was saved on June 18, 2007 and have been doing all I can in the name of the Lord our God.
I recently moved to Charleston, SC and have been exploring a church that preaches the true word of God instead of false interpretations to better fit the lives of the congregation so they keep coming back. I am still looking so if there is anyone out there who knows a good church in charleston please let me know!
I came to find Jesus five years ago in my last year of High School when the highly secularized public school system was failing to meet my needs, both intellectually and spritually. I Finally found christ through a friend and have followed the word of God ever since!

I don't have one particular favorite verse as I love the whole bible. I have read the bible three times and am now at a point in my life where I choose a daily verse (not that that verse is the only part of the bible I read) and ponder over it throughout the day and relate it to my life and how it can help me become a better christian. Todas verse: Exodus 12:42 "
It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations."

Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your forum and I look forward to reading future posts and adding to the forum!

Peace and Love to all my brothers and sisters in Christ

    -Cecil

Re: Hello my fellow Brothers and Sisters!

    Welcome Cecil!

How many sons has God seen fit for you to be the father of?

What about Jesus and you makes your time together so special?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: Hello my fellow Brothers and Sisters!

Thank you James for your welcome!

I assume your first question is asking how many children (particulary boys) has the good Lord blessed me with?
I am a young college man and have not found an appropriate partner for marriage yet, therefore I have not reproduced children as I don't believe in sex before marriage and I must find a spouse who shares in the same beliefs as I do.

As for your question pertaining to what makes my time with Jesus so special I would assume you, as a saved person, understands that Jesus is with me at all times and just knowing this makes our relationship special. My first thoughts upon waking are how blessed I am that God produced a son to show light to the world and I am able to learn God's will through the teachings of the bible and his son Jesus Christ. Throughout my day I am faced with hardships and challenges and if it weren't for Jesus I would struggle through everyone of them. The KJ bible teaches me God's law and the words of Christ help me to further interpret God's will through the love of Jesus. At night when I lay in my bed I know that Christ has been with me all day and will continue to be with me as I sleep. He protects me from evildoers, criminals, homosexuals, pedophiles, lower races, etc. and knowing he is there gives me strength to avoid such individuals who will never be worthy of his love and salvation. Jesus not only gives me love and strength, but most of all he gives me answers (along with the bible) to any trials I may be faced with until my life comes to an end and I can meet him face to face.

Thats what makes our time together special

Re: Hello my fellow Brothers and Sisters!

Welcome, Cecil! I'm a little confused by your claim that you're too young to have procreated. This seems to contradict your earlier assertion that you've been out of high school for five years. Do you think the Lord is pleased to see you slacking around an having fun while you shirk your duty to produce children for Him?

Your future wife's womb isn't going to impregnate itself, you know.

          Welcome Cecil!

It is always good to see another Southerner among the ranks of the faithful. As a Southerner, and from the first state to secede from the Union, I am curious as to your views on secession? Please include some Biblical references to support your position.
Genesis 4:12: When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

Numbers 35:19: The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.
