  • Hello all

My name is Dominic Deckys, I'm a 17 year old kid, I'm a senior in high school, and I want to study computer science at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

I attend a Christian Church in Boulder, Colorado.

I am a white, straight male.

My favorite bible verse is so:

Mark 12:31 The second is this:‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

I came to find Jesus when coming into high school, it was a tough time in my life, my grades suffered, and faith in god helped me get through that. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and when she was diagnosed, it was hard for the whole family.

I am not trying to create debate, I joined this forum because I love god, and I want to speak with people who share my love.

But, I disagree with this forum's position on homosexuality. I think that god loves everyone regardless of the sexuality or race. I am a proud christian that loves his neighbor regardless of sex or race, and I go to a church that shares my views.

During my troubled time in high school, I had a friend who was VERY intelligent, and helped me get my act together and prepare myself for my future. Later I found out that he was homosexual. Love is love, and we are all gods children.

I don't believe in sex before marriage. I am opposed to smoking anything, and as a personal choice, I have decided not to drink regularly EVER, although I don't disagree with people who do decide to drink.

I have two cats. I have a little brother and a little sister, both of whom look up to me. I love my beautiful girlfriend, and we are very happy together. I enjoy participating in activities my church does, and I like helping others. But, most importantly, I love god and want to have him in my life, and do everything I can to help others and make a loving, more accepting world.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi
    One of my favorite quotations.

Oh, another question. Because of my differed beliefs on the homosexuality debate, in your eyes, would I be going to hell even though I'm not homosexual myself?
    Rom.1:26-27
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    It's not this forum's position, it's God's:

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

      Re: Hello all

In all of your Bible reading, have you read anywhere that it says to forget all about Leviticus 18:22? I've read the Bible cover-to-cover 11 times and I must've missed that part.

      Yours in Christ,

Dominic, it is certainly nice to "meet" you!

To answer your question, it seems as if your beliefs differ with God Almighty and that's something to consider. You see, if you think you know better than the Creator of the Entire Universe, then that's some pretty major pride you have going on there. That pride is idolatry - you idolize your own intellect, your own self. Furthermore, you're not really following God's Word, but instead your own 21st century developed conscience. That shows you don't really trust Jesus, you trust your own ability to recognize right from wrong. So in answer to your question, yes, you will be placed on a spiritual coal chute straight to Hell the moment after you take your last breath unless you repent of this and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Master (Romans 10:9).

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I don't think I know better then him, I just don't hate homosexuals. I do not agree with their lifestyle, because I'm not gay, but I don't hate or resent them.

And of coarse, Jesus is my Lord, he died for our sins, and I will follow him, there was never any doubt about that.

Friend, I don't hate homosexuals either, but God does. Who am I to say He's mistaken?

And yes, Jesus did die for your sins, even the sin of thinking you know better than Him. If you don't repent of this pride however, it will all be for naught for you.

From where do you get this idea? If you can find this in the KJV 1611 Holy Bible, chapter and verse, I will eat my hat. If you cannot find this in the Holy Bible, then you owe God, and Landover Baptist Church, a sincere apology for presuming to know better than God and for trying to speak on His behalf.

Hanging out with fruits implies that you agree with their deathstyle choice. There are many Bible verses that cover this, but my short-and-sweet favorite is:

(Amos 3:3) "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

I guess that statement was arrogant. I can't say what god thinks, but I still don't hate gay people.

I don't think god hates them either, but by the bible, he obviously thinks the lifestyle is wrong.

I like to think that we are all from god, just some of us are worse then others. I though we were supposed to love people who sin, and pray for them?

                    Sorry for the confusion.

The Bible is God's word. 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that the Scriptures are the very breath of God.

In the Bible, God does not say "I wish to express my strong disapproval of this lifestyle and I am very disappointed in this choice." Instead, God very clearly says they should be put to death.

Try re-reading Genesis 19. In this passage, all the men in Sodom surrounded the house where two very attractive young men were staying. God did not take the view that this was frowned upon. Instead "the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace." Genesis 19:28.

I do not think it is right to pick and choose the parts of the Bible you find "convenient." Revelation 22, verse 18 says "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

In other words: Any part of the Bible that you re-interpret or disregard will send you to Hell.

I can understand you have a nice gaysexual friend. But this is Satan's way of tempting you. You want to be nice to this person, his niceness and sweetness make you want to doubt God's true judgment upon these people. once you start to doubt part of the Bible, it's only a matter of time before you toss John 3:16 onto the same trash heap as Leviticus 18:22. Proverbs 3:5-7 tells us not to trust our instincts, but to TRUST GOD.

Read 1 Corinthians 15:33, 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, 2 John 1:9-11, and 2 Corinthians 4:4. Gays are a bad influence on you and are corrupting you from the ways of the Lord. Pray to Jesus not to allow you to be led into temptation, but to be delivered from evil. Matthew 6:13.

Abandon your gaysexual friend NOW before it is too late.
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

These are good questions. We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves, but does that mean we should allow them to continue to sin without saying anything?

Let's go to the source of where Jesus gets the commandment for us to love our neighbors.

Leviticus 19:15,17-18 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: [but] in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD.

Please see verse 17 in the NIV for a more clear understanding of what is being said here.

'Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.

Yeah, we are to love our neighbors, but at the same time we shouldn't allow or put up with their sin.

Please see this sermon for an even more complete explanation.

Bible Answers: Who are our neighbors? Who are our brothers and sisters? Who are we to love?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

So, He loves them, yet He will resurrect them (with all nonbelievers and sinners) from unknowing death (Ecclesiastes 9:5), into immortal bodies at Judgment, specifically so He can cast them into His Lake of Fire (Hell) and burn them alive for all time.

                              Dear friend:

If we are all God's children, why was it necessary for Christ to give the saved, and only the saved, the power to become God's children?

John 1:12-13: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

                              Consider also the following:

John 8:44: Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Do you suppose that God and the devil ever begat children together?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
