Why is the Bible superior ?

Hi, I am a practicing Hindu. I do not belong to any Church, but have started exploring other religions to learn more about them, too. This forum looks like it would be a good place to learn about Chrisitianity.

My first question is why Chrisitians consider the Bible alone to be The Word of God. What about the Gita, the Quran, the Torah etc, which also preach about the love of God for humans ?

Secondly, Jesus was Love Personified and a practicing Jew. But many Christians hate Judaism, which was close to His heart ! Can you please explain why, since Christ was, in essence, a Rabbi ? If you follow His words and accept Him as the Son of God, then aren't you essentially Jews, too ?

The Bible is a Divine Revelation©. In the Bible we find out what God wants mankind to know about Himself and His plan. The Bible is the only written revelation of God to man and no one has ever successfully refuted the Bible. Many mock the Bible but avoid challenging it point by point. Yet no one who has done in-depth research, honestly examining the evidence for the Bible's inspiration and truthfulness, has been able to disprove the Bible. History records many who set out to disprove the Bible, who instead became believers.

Our Bible is composed of 66 books, by about 40 different writers of various backgrounds, living during a period of about 1,600 years - yet they present one message. Such a miracle can only be explained by there being one divine Author, who was in control of all these human writers. Books written by men have no unity of thought on even one subject. Some of them invariably disagree with others. But there is perfect unity between the books of the Bible - which speak of hundreds of subjects in many fields. There is no contradiction among them.

Who but God could produce such a book?

If the Bible was full of logical contradictions, as some false prophet atheists claim, then True Christians(tm) would be all over the map, riddled with hypocrisy, lacking clear direction. The fact that we are morally superior to atheists testifies to the essential nature of the KJV Bible. You will find no hypocrites or sinners among our ranks.

Look at the bedroom practices of Hindus. They involve themselves in scat play and anal abominations. This angers God and He curses them, evidenced by their poverty and ignorance. Therefore we can conclude that Biblical tenets which forbid sodomy are sound dogma.

Brother Jared, that is exactly the claim of all other religions. That the work of their own God is the only true revelation of God's plan for Mankind. I am in disagreement, as I believe that no one God can corner the market on being The True God. God is God in all His forms, whether He manifests as Jesus, Allah, Vishnu or Buddha. Santana Dharma is fairly flexible and accommodating of all deities, but I find Christianity and Islam to be pretty inflexible in the matter. My question is, if mankind is one species and we all believe in God, then who is to say that any one particular God is the only God ? That is my question. Polytheism is best because it accommodates millions of Gods or devatas - a little tolerance goes a long way, yes ?

Also, my other question. If Christians follow the teachings of Rabbi Jesus, then why do they hate Judaism so much ?

Also, i think you are synomizing Sanatana Dharma with India ? While Sanatana Dharma did originate in India, all Hindus are not Indians ! BTW, even if India is poor, our Samajas (Hindu religious orders) in India are not. This is not due to the wrath of the Gods, but because of corruption of the highest order (which Indians are fighting back against), but that is irrelavent to this discussion.

You didn't read my previous comment wellclose enough. The Bible can ONLY be work of God.

There many reasons why Jews are unsaved. The main reason is that they don't acknowledge Jesus as our saviour.

That is a mean thing to say. How can you be so glad that millions of Jews died as a result of the actions of one madman ? Does Christianity not teach you to love your fellow men as you love yourself ? You do not even follow your own religion's teachings very well, do you, sir ?

Shame on you for gloating over the deaths of millions of innocent people and then claiming that it was God's fault for not protecting them.
