So you think it's OK to judge God's will? Every Pope except the last two were happy to say they went to Limbo and mothers were expected to suck it up.

Oh and you all do? The Catholic church is made up of humans. Your church is made up of humans. We gained truth from the Holy Spirit. If what the Church is teaching isn't of the Holy Spirit then what about your church? Where are you recieving wisdom from?Originally posted by Mary Etheldreda View PostMaddie, dear, the catholic church identifies itself as being the very representative of Christ on earth, that priests act "in persona christi," or in the person of Christ. Where's the evidence of Christ in their lives? How can a church that is incapable of recognizing an unsaved monster in their ranks possibly follow God's Will? They don't know what God's Will is!

So how does Mary feel in Heaven?Originally posted by avemaria View PostNo mother would ever feel right knowing her child is in hell.
If she is "Co-Redemptrix," why not do something for those who are in Hell, or at least those who are going?
How could a mother let her child wander into danger like that?
Does she not care? Is she really incompetent to help?
What's her purpose?

What bugs me is that really convincing liars told my mother lies and pretended to be certain about stuff they didn't know to be true at all. She died thinking he was in some made up place called Limbo. If she'd known he was hated by God in His glory and deserved to burn in Hell I'm sure she'd have felt better.
So I want to know how they were so wrong yet so certain and how they can be certain about other stuff they claim is true but isn't in the Bible.

Uh huh. On the other hand, the Bible DOES say this:Originally posted by avemaria View PostIt doesn't say that in the Bible but I know that there is some document that says this I just can't remember where.
Revelation 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"

Re: Why I Am Catholic
It's not in any document. It's considered "Sacred Tradition" which is Latin for, "We conclude this must be true so that it fits with our dogma (this time the dogma of the Economy of Grace," another foundation of cathlic theology not found anywhere in the Holy Bible).Originally posted by avemaria View PostIt doesn't say that in the Bible but I know that there is some document that says this I just can't remember where.

but they are right...he is in HEAVEN with God the holy spirit and Jesus! God is not so cruel as to punish a child who died at birth. You should know and trust ghat God is not so unmerciful he is very merciful. That is why they said he isn't in limbo it should have been obvious to you he was now in heaven.

Re: Why I Am Catholic
How do you know that? Has there been some papal survey of all the ordained priests that specifically asks if they have ever raped anyone? Have they all had extensive background checks? Have the members of their church been interviewed to see if they have been raped by their priest?Originally posted by avemaria View PostGood gosh no!
Ok who said that the re creation of the world had to be led by a married couple?! I ask you really. Yes I know she was his mother and heck no she was not married to Jesus.
And let me ask you something, "It might be hard to let go of the things that some priests have done, but have any of you looked at the good things that the good priests have done? Like open shelters, St. Vincent DePaul, and their work in advocating the pro life movement?
I will never blame the victims. RAPE IS WRONG! And I do not excuse nor deny the actions of priests who have raped or molested or have done anything that goes against the vows they took when they were ordained. But you can't blame EVERY priest because not every priest is a rapist. I also don't take up for the bishops who stood by silently or kept under wraps what the priests who did commit sin. They knew something wrong was being done and they did nothing. I feel horrible that there are people who do this! But this doesn't happen only inside the church, it happens outside of the church too!
Of course not. Please stop making blanket statements that are unsupportable by facts.
