    Hello All

    Hello friends,

I'm ConiferousDreams but you can call me by my real name Daniel if you like. I'm a proud baptist living in Washington State alongside all these godless hippie liberal heathens that infect this beautiful state. I attend the Bible Baptist Church in Aberdeen, WA.

My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 104:24 - "O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom has thou made them all: the earth is full of your riches."

One of my favorite pastimes is hiking, and I love to walk in the beautiful forests of Washington State to look upon the beauty and bounty of God's Green Earth that He created for us. That's how I chose my username - even seeing a simple conifer tree confirms for me the love of our Mighty God!

I will freely admit that I have been tested by Satan in the past but I hope that with my faith in God Almighty I will overcome the wicked one and join my Lord and Savior in Heaven when the time comes.

    Welcome to our friendly forums!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Aberdeen, huh? I think that's where that weirdo Kurt Colbert was from. You don't listen to that grunge heroin music, do you?

        Re: Hello All

Thank you for the speedy welcome. I do have to admit that one of the reasons I found this forum was to ask for a bit of advice.

One of my good friends, Matthew, is also a Baptist, but he is struggling with his faith. He met a godless "hipster" in Seattle who confronted him about his beliefs and asked him to prove that God exists (ridiculous, right? But I digress.). Anyways, normally Mathew was very strong in his faith but for some reason he could not come up with "enough evidence" as the godless liberal put it to "prove" that God exists.

I told Matthew that I would help in any way I can, so I ask you this: how can I help my friend "prove" that Almighty God is real and show this heathen the error in his ways?

          Hello Zechariah,

When I was younger and more foolish I will admit that sadly I did listen to Nirvana and other pagan bands. But since then I have renounced that devil's music and instead listen only to the sweet songs of the Word of Our Lord!

I don't hunt much but I have hunted for deer and elk twice before. It was fun but at the same time I regretted killing something that God made for me. Was I wrong to regret it?

Oh dear. I don't know that you can. Faith doesn't come by evidence, it comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). I think all you can do is encourage your friend to read the Holy Bible and pray. Then, if he chooses to follow his flesh and forsake God, and insult the sweet Baby Jesus by embracing his animal instincts, I would shake the dust off my feet, as it were (Matthew 10:14). Walk away. He'd be revealing the fact that he is, spiritually speaking, a walking dead man. No need to feel sorry for him any more than you do the deer in the forests being eaten alive by a pack of hungry wolves.

              Re: Hello All

Welcome Daniel. Tell me, don't you feel closer to Jesus when hunting, the sensation of the still warm blood running down your hands from a creature God provided you to kill while surrounded by the beauty of His work?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

God gave animals to you to have DOMINION over them (Genesis 1:28). That includes killing them and eating them.

About your friend: why does he want to associate with non-believers? That's crazy!

He doesn't want to associate with them; the pagan accosted him in public while he was on the bus in Seattle riding to his parish.

All Matthew wants to do is make the heretic see the error of his ways. How can he go about that?

First, you need to understand faith.

As I explained HERE, faith is itself the evidence of God:

Because atheists are generally slow-witted, they do not realize that having proof of something makes it impossible to believe in something.

Do you believe that ice is cold? No. You know ice is cold. Do you believe that the glass on your desk, from which you just sipped, is full of water? No. You know that it is full of water. When you know, you can no longer believe.

God does not demand that we "know" anything other than His Law. He does, however, demand that we believe. Anyone who refuses to believe? Damned to unending torment being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire.

                        John 3:18
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

                        But what exactly is faith?

The Bible tells us that faith IS the evidence!

                        Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

You don't need an empirical study to "prove" God exists. If you had one, you'd not be able to have faith anyway.

No, your faith, and mine, is the evidence God gives us for His existence. It's better than any peer-reviewed research paper, let me tell you!

And I thank Him for it every day.
