What's with the obsession with magic bears? Is he trying to say that bears sent by God would be incapable of killing 21 children. Is he saying that bears sent by God, and clearly no ordinary bears, can't be described as magical or miraculous?

What point is this scoffer trying to make?

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Many people who adopt the label of agnostic reject the label of atheist — there is a common perception that agnosticism is a more “reasonable” position while atheism is more “dogmatic,” ultimately indistinguishable from theism except in the details. This is not a valid position to adopt because it misrepresents or misunderstands everything involved: atheism, theism, agnosticism, and the nature of belief itself.

    ...

Once it is understood that atheism is merely the absence of belief in any gods, it becomes evident that agnosticism is not, as many assume, a “third way” between atheism and theism. The presence of a belief in a god and the absence of a belief in a god exhaust all of the possibilities. Agnosticism is not about belief in god but about knowledge — it was coined originally to describe the position of a person who could not claim to know for sure if any gods exist or not.

Thus, it is clear that agnosticism is compatible with both theism and atheism. A person can believe in a god (theism) without claiming to know for sure if that god exists; the result is agnostic theism. On the other hand, a person can disbelieve in gods (atheism) without claiming to know for sure that no gods can or do exist; the result is agnostic atheism.
I'm sure this latest colossal comprehension failure of yours is worth an infraction point. Brother BAB?

Our pal Seventy, if not an agnostic atheist, must be a gnostic atheist. That means he must accept on faith that there is no God.

Stop telling me what I believe.

Stop telling people what they're saying, and try READING WHAT THEY WROTE.

You've been wrong on just about everything, so far.

Unfortunately my problem with my friend Matthew has only gotten worse. When I got home today I received a phone call from him. I asked what was wrong and he said with a bitter voice that he has renounced his faith in God Almighty.

Horrified, I asked him why he had made such a drastic change. He said that the words of that man from a few days ago had "burned into him" and filled him with "shame" that he could not prove that God exists. He went on to say that he spent several hours in prayer afterwards but could not "find an answer to fill the void in me." I asked him if he would like to come over to my house and pray with my sister and I and he became filled with rage, saying "You can't fix this, Daniel. I'm broken."

Honestly, I haven't seen him this angry since I told him I would be voting for Obama in November. Is there any way I can repair my friend's good faith in Our Lord and rekindle out friendship? He is my closest friend and I want to help him through this.
Hello, ConiferousDreams. Sorry about what your friend has gone through.

Some advice I could give is to tell your friend to stay on his feet, for faith in God is much more powerful than harsh words that hippister fellow hit him with. Matthew shouldn't let one silly fool from the streets change what he believes in. The heathen decided by himself to deny God's existence, and would likely be too stubborn to believe even after being shown legit proof anyway. Such a man is a lost soul, and isn't worth the trouble.

I admire your dedication to help your friend, and hope he lets God back into his life once more. Keep your faith in God, friend.

bab, like I told you before, use your one point. Unlike Much,I don't believe as you do,he seems to think a few more thousand posts and you will accept him. It seems like you all have him trained well,he don't make too many waves. He will defend you all in a heart beat but that action is not reciprocated.

Look, you believe in agnostic atheism, I'm an atheist which means I don't believe in the existence of any supreme being. Which make many of my views different than yours. Don't tell me you take the bible literally, then cherry pick it when to suit your views. That is why they have magical bears, and wore mohawks in Jesus times. I hate to ask you how old you think the earth is, you may say 5000yrs old.

A mohawk would be an example of a prohibited haircut.

Ye shall not round the corners of your heads. In other words, don't shave them.

They didn't wear mohawks back then,if they did, please post a picture.
Do I really have to point out that cameras did not exist then?

And you are not to trim up the beard..hmmm Let me see if there is anybody on this site that has a trimmed beard.
It says not to "mar" the corner of the beard. It doesn't say not to shave it off.

Can you say with 100% assurance that everybody in your flock does not wear wool with linen?
    I can.

Many times the Hebrew word amiyth is alternately used as countryman. Neighbor means those who are your own, if you know what I mean.

Bible Answers: Who are our neighbors? Who are our brothers and sisters? Who are we to love?
More interpretation to fit your views. Also, what is his qualifications? One more thing,he trims his beard.

Not in all cases. For instance:

(Luke 14:26) "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
