    Fellowship

Hi! I'm brother Mark. After a year of foolishly and selfishly blaming God for my life falling apart he has faithfully and lovingly revealed that it's me at fault. Since that amazing revelation i've rededicated my life to the lord more zealous and fervent than ever before! Been faithfully attending Assembly of God since birth, but I have some serious questions about pentacostilism. Seeing my mom convert to charismatic has given me the courage to convert to Baptist. The last 8 years have been tough, marrying the pentecostal pastors daughter shoulda been a slam dunk as her dad did an excellent job of raising her by wisely sheltering her from the world. During marriage counseling her dad was very clear that she was to succumb to me. Instead after a year of marriage she succumbed to the world and resisted my authority. Several times I felt her testing the lords patience as the holy spirit in me was ready to attack her if God commanded. I guess being worldly clouded her judgement as she foolishly gave me the house and most possessions. Ahh, sure is nice having God on your side All the while dealing with this wolf in sheeps clothing of a wife I was stuck at a job with scientists,(atheist evolution type). I tried every witnessing tool I knew of and my bosses still persecuted me and accused me of being simple minded, backwards and judgemental. I was persecuted for being so adamant that the bible is literal truth and that their theories on biology were just that, theories. I know the bible is true- I would say because it says so and that settles it and if you refuse to believe it then have fun burning in hell while i'm up above in my mansion enjoying my numerous treasures being saved up. God must have given up on their small minds as they laid me off months later saying it was due to lack of funding- last I heard they refilled the position. This would be hard for a worldly type such as Rebecca to bear but I take comfort in knowing how miniscule my mind is compared to Gods supreme, divine wisdom. God has led me here to Landover Baptist to share my testimony. How do I know that? He has already answered some of my questions I have in my head in your creation section! John 11:35, Jesus wept, is amazing to think that as he was being punished for our wickedness and worthlessness he thought of each and every one of us! Thats right-you to who our reading this he wept and thought of you! Wow thats powerful. Another personal favorite which I stow in my heart is 1 Peter 2:9, after my last job, I now quote this to potential employers so they know up front where I stand.God must have a sense of humor as he is taking his time in bringing the right women in my life. The last date I was on told me I was crazy and she jumped out of the car and walked 5 miles home! All I did was honestly tell her how her recently deceased mom was burning for eternity because she died a catholic. She was already emotional after watching cancer eat at her mom the last 6 months, I also told her that cancer was Gods punishment for her wicked catholic ways. Well, I don't want to babble on like the pentecostals do so will wrap it up for now. I need to go pray for Rebeccas soul and finish my bible study. I look forward to Godly fellowship and learning more sophisticated witnessing techniques here. Time on earth is so short and we have so much to do to get ready for the Lords second coming, as we dont want to get left behind.

Oops, didn't mean to sound negative. At this point I've yet to find a home church although I previously attended Assembly of God. Now that I'm 35 I feel more at ease choosing my own denomination based on what the bible says instead of the denomination I was born into. After praying and reading the bible, the Baptist denomination makes the most sense to me. Yeah, brother does sound kinda corny. Guess that term got pounded into my head over the years and late nights at church camp.I will gladly refrain from such terminology if it is unedifying to the lord.

        Re: Fellowship

So at 35, you should have a good half-dozen children or more by now (unless you married an older gal). We love babies here at Landover! How many sons do you have? What is your wife's specialty dish? And most importantly, which Bible verse sets you on FIRE for the LORD?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

            Re: Fellowship

Hi Mary, to be truthful, after Rebecca met another man we divorced. We had no children together, it was tough making ends meet when we married due to my lack of college and her bible college not being transferable . She was so traumatized over her upbringing being the oldest of 4 and a pastors daughter. Her dad actually told her once that men would not want her due to having small breasts. I was scared to death to bring a life in this world when the odds were they would go to hell. Dad died 10 years ago and both my mom and her mom are mentally ill but use pentacostilism as a cover it seems. Her mom flat out refuses to believe in dinosaurs and thinks satan planted them there! Her pentecostal preacher dad was forced to resign after much drama. So at 24 I got a vasectomy to end the madness, break the cycle. For this I have been stigmatized and shunned by family, work and friends. The very real possibility of my child going to hell was simply unbearable...Having my childs grandparents brainwash them would have been hard to stop short of moving and I like it here, May God have mercy on my soul.

              Welcome, Mark.

But NO denomination at all is the only way to go (see I Corinthians 1:10). We are right and all the rest will be in Hell. I hope you stand with us on that.

I stand firm with you on this Pastor Lowman. Although I must admit, its breaking my heart right now realizing my dad and a lot of loved ones are lost and burning forever. He was such a good man and tried so hard to be a christian. He was dead wrong and now must suffer for eternity, he must be so sad he raised us all wrong and full of guilt.I wonder if the pain is too much for him to bear-ugh its making me crazy thinking about it. I have a tough time seeing the justice in that but I will not question and furthermore I was really looking forward to seeing him in heaven, now I find out were meeting in hell. Hell just got a whole lot bigger than I had ever imagined.Im so scared that God will cast me there for being a heritic, and to think that it does not matter how I was such a good person, my faith was all wrong. When I just got off the phone with mom and told her shes going to hell with dad she told me to go in and get my meds checked and be careful whom Im associating with. I assured her that I am in good fellowship and not as gullible as her and dad apparently were as harsh as that sounds. I feel like i need to witness to these hellbound pentecostals and get em on the right track! Thanks for the support.

Brother Mark, do you own a gun? Did you know Obama (the anti-Christ) is about to embark on a 2nd term in office unless he is stopped (by Romney)? Think about the bigger picture, son. It's not all about "me me me". So get over your personal troubles and be more like Jesus and think about saving others. Think about Obamba manically aborting white Christians day and night until the election so he can unveil his plan to destroy America unopposed. That day is coming soon, friend. What will you do?

Oh worry not, dear. Should the LORD truly Save you, you will be so deliriously happy in Heaven that you won't even think about your old father burning in the Lake of Fire, watching as his flesh melts, knowing he will forever remain conscious and cognizant of each nerve ending firing off in excruciating pain, being passed around by demons to be used as a living sex-doll.

Yikes Mary, thats a graphic depiction- and yet probably not half as bad as it really is...Wish God had never created my dad, I mean come on, I would have to be heartless in heaven to praise God and not be remotely affected by his suffering. I don't like this reality at all- feels like a nightmare. I need to go lie down and read the bible, maybe the word will comfort me. I just cannot stop thinking of dads nerves, his poor toes and fingers-ouch!

Oh stop. As a Christian, surely you know God is Just. Being sent to suffer in Hell for all eternity is Just and Right. How could it be any other way? It can't. But we need not worry about details.

God is good all the time. All the time God is good.

If Jesus does in fact Save you from damnation yourself, how could you spend a single moment doing anything but praising Him for His Goodness!
