    My introduction (belated)

Hello, my name is Carlos the Banker. I am a recovering Papist in search of a new church. My favorite Bible verse is from Romans 12:19:

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."

    Buenos dias, Carlos!

Have you read the entire Bible yet, so you can learn what God wants of you?

        Welcome to our friendly forum!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Welcome Carlos! Whose lawn do you mow (for reference purposes, not ICE)
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He is all-knowing, righteous and benevolent. All good flows from Him. He requires true faith, and the acceptance of the Bible as his own written word, and the welcoming of his only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the one, only, and true Savior.

So you recognize that God is only good to those who follow Him. Very good.

Why do you suppose God hated Esau?

Because God saw Jacob as the father of the Israelites and therefore Chosen. Esau was not chosen as he was the seen as the father of the Edomites.

                          So?

God chose one over the other, did He not? Are you suggesting He hated Esau because He had chosen Jacob to lie to and make a fool of their father Isaac, and steal from Esau?

That makes no sense at all. Esau appears to be the one without sin, not Jacob, a conniving, craven little thief and coward who ran away after sinning against Esau repeatedly

So why did God hate Esau, instead of Jacob?

Welcome, Carlos. Glad to have you with us. I'm happy to hear that you escaped sure damnation by leaving the Catholic church.

Have you considered changing your name to be in line with white American culture? Even Jesus changed his name to fit into our society, so why don't you start going by Carl? That way people wouldn't automatically assume that you're a lazy bum who's just here on a lark from south of the border to collect welfare and vote for Obama.

What kind of banker are you? Do you make more than several million dollars a year? If so, have you considered applying for the Landover Baptist Church VIP admission program? That would move you right to the front of the line, which is a big deal, given that there is currently a two year wait list for LBC membership. You should speak with a Landover pastor to see if you qualify.
