I came on here from a different religion, with an open mind and eager to learn about what this church was about. I wanted to know what made this branch of the church so unique and what your take on the Bible was. I didn't just want to shut myself up in my own religion, I wanted to understand all of them, including yours. I've been nothing but nice and polite and I've received nothing but hate in return. I thought you would want to bring glory to God by teaching an open heart about Him. It seems, though, that all one can do is throw names and hateful comments at me. You say my soul needs to be "saved" but why would I let such hateful beings try to save it? Indeed, though, my soul is no ones business but my own. So I ask you this favor: take me off this site. Delete this user account. Anyone who has the power, please do it or send many pleading emails to your head pastor to remove me.

I'm sorry, but it is the policy of Landover Baptist Church to leave all accounts active on the site, in case Jesus calls you to return. They also serve as an example to others.

When have I shown you hatred? I have asked why you believe what you believe, and you seem not to have any answers. All you do is dodge my questions.

You have tried to promote that which the LORD hates. That's Spiritual Terrorism right there. What did you expect in return exactly?

We're trying to help you, dear, not upset you. Granted, it can be upsetting to hear everything you believe is a lie, it may really rattle you emotionally for a time. But learning to live with your eyes wide open, accepting reality for what it is, is far more empowering and satisfying than pretending a fantasy that doesn't exist.

All the Wiccans I've met have been nothing but kind to me and I've never seen a lick of hate in amy of them. The main rule of Wicca is to harm none. Your bible id full of violence and you heed to that violence by beating your woman and children. Never would harm a child, the thought of hurting another human repulses me. Wicca may be "new" but the practices have been around much longer than Christianity. I follow the worship of the Earth and all Her glory. I worship Her cycles, the cycle of life and death. I belong to Her. I follow the goddess of the moon and Her loving embrace. I follow Wicca because it tells us to honor ourselves because we are special creations. I follow Wicca because it teaches us to love others and to strive to receive each day with perfect love in our hearts. I believe in the Summerland, where I will go when I die and all my impurities will be cleansed so that I may be born again into this world.
I follow my heart and soul, not the cruelties of a book. I follow a path of love, an unfathomable feeling that I have for myself and the people around me. This life is not meant to live in the dark shadow of a merciless god. It's meant to live free and full of light and laughter.
Do what you may, say what you may. My mind will not turn to the thought that I'm "dammed". Living this life in fear would be the worst damnation one could ever have. You make your own hell. I make my own heaven.

That's all well and good, but again, your only reason for believing it appears to be "it makes me happy", not because you for any reason think it's true.

Why would you want to believe a happy lie? Why not just be a secular humanist or something, they're nice people too but don't follow some made-up goddess that they don't really seem to believe in anyway.

Not one True Christian(tm) has expressed anything but caring concern for how you are spitting in the eyes of Jesus and defecating on Gods Heavenly sandals. I honestly don't care. I believe in what I believe in weather you think I can prove it or not. How I feel about my religion is more important to me. Yes, I do also practice the craft. I still don't see why you believe any of it to be true. Does truth not matter?

I can believe ice is hot all I like, but if I shove my hand in a bucket of it for an hour, I'll still get frostbite instead of third-degree burns, won't I?

I also don't see why any of this Wicca is necessary for the type of life you claim to want, or the sort of people you want to associate with. There are plenty of atheists, humanists, and Unitarians who are very nice, helpful, generous people.

Sure, they'll all be in Hell along with you for refusing God's Love, but they're still nice folks.

I am not shackled to a goddess. I don't fall at her feet and beg for forgiveness when I do something wrong. I don't worship like you do. I feel the most connected to her and I ask for her guidance in hard times. I'm not expected to give my life to her. And as I've said, my feelings about what I believe come first. I am human, I love myself, my feelings and well being come first to me.
