    Re: Newb here

I've already informed you of my church and this was from a younger pastor. I grow weary of interrogation and I'm not replying to any more accusatory questions on this thread. Thank you. Now I will proceed to explore this site.

I have a feeling you won't be here very long with your negative attitude, Bort. You are a guest here. I suggest you remember that, and not tell us what you're going to do or not do.

We are trying to figure out how you could so horrifically misunderstand patently obvious scripture describing how to conquer non-Christian nations as being a reference to "spiritual rewards".

What sort of Baptist church is this? Which denomination? There are over a dozen Baptist denominations. What is this younger pastor's name? Perhaps he needs a talking-to.

And would it be Lancaster Independent Baptist, Grace Baptist, First Baptist of Lancaster, Calvary Baptist of Greater Lancaster, Central Baptist, St. John the Baptist, Ebenezer Baptist, Westgate Baptist, or Bright Side Baptist?
      Bible boring? Nonsense!

Whoa Nelly! No one is interrogating you!
Just where do you get off questioning our Love? All we are is curious about you. We want to know all about you. I am not sure what you want to hide, what terrible things you have or are going, but trust me, we have seen it all. From retards to catlicks to full blown flaming gay butt ramming full on queers. So you do not need to be uncomfortable. You'll feel better if you just tell the truth before God. Tell us your testimony and story of depravity. Do not leave any details out, no matter how seemingly unimportant. Visual aids are welcome.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Unless he was trying to show the "religion of peace" for being the hypocritical scam that it is.

                    Ezekiel 23:20

"For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses."

                    New international Version

"There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission is like that of horses."

Peace be with you all. This verse, to me, is a metaphor for our broken dedication to God.

First of all, the NIV is probably the worst PERVersion of the Bible. Please do not reference it again.

Secondly, where does it say there are metaphors in the Bible? There is the occasional parable, but they are well-marked.

Third, your dedication to God may be broken, but mine is as strong as it ever was.

The point of the quote was to simplify for anyone reading. The definition of issue in context is confusing without disambiguation, as flesh may be. Infract me as you will.

                        Psalm 137:9

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth the thy little ones against the stones."

People that can't understand the plain language of the KJV Bible have not read it enough.

And if you think you can shock us with quotes from the Bible, you are very, very wrong. All Scripture is perfect!

If tossing small children against stones is perfection, then yes.

John 1:8-10 states that no man is free from sin, no man is righteous.

Job 2:3 states that Job is "perfect and upright"

If no man is free from sin, how is Job perfect? More importantly, how do the Bible's inconstensies yield perfection? I could name countless more.

That's not what John 1:8-10 says.

Maybe you are thinking of 1 John 1:8-10?

Look son, you aren't going to Google your way to salvation, especially when your Google-fu is so lacking. Try reading the Bible instead of attacking it, OK? You'll have a much better understanding of it.
