I think every True Christian(tm) here would be overjoyed to hear you explain upon what evidence you base your belief system. How else can we help you to understand Christianity, if we don't know how you make decisions?

No Rev. the last time I tried to explain myself, I got an infraction for spoiling the ears of the children (or something of that nature) people would hate me more if I said anything.

Wicca is a cult, not a religion. Please respect our True Christianity(tm) by not mentioning your cult while you're a guest on OUR privately funded forum.

Maybe an administrator should ask you to explain your reasons for accepting this belief system of yours with no apparent evidence. Then nobody would give you infractions for answering.

You need to know, God commands us to do all we can to Save® you. If that means tying you to a chair and reading the Bible over and over until your ears bleed then that is what we MUST do. Nothing personal.

In my view, we need to cut WW a little slack here. She has a "belief system" she knows will put here in an eternity of hell.

She might not have been aware of this unfortunate eternity until she visited here. With the help of Jesus, she now knows.

Belief system? If a so-called "belief system" is just a bunch of superstitious hogwash, what good would explaining it do? All she could say would be "I believe in blah blah blah because I read Gardner's Witchcraft Today and The Meaning of Witchcraft."

Anyone who bases their beliefs on books written by some dead English pervert is deluded. We follow The King James Bible because it's the Word of God.

                      Re: I've Decided Against Leaving

Oh, Rev. You are so demanding. Okay, well I best explain myself.
Wicca is not a cult. It is a religion that was popularised by Gerald Gardner in the 1960's. The practices of Wicca is older and completely different from Christianity. Wicca recognizes two deities, a male and a female god who are both equally important, and some look at them look at them as one unified being. Other people can worship many gods or no gods because to some, gods are just symbol.
First reason I am Wiccan: There are no established god or goddess one must worship, therefor giving one the freedom to seek spiritual enlightenment through the self.
Wicca is mostly an earth based religion. Wiccans believe in the powers of natural energy that nature provides. Our temples are the forests, the rain, the hill sides, the mountain tops, and all other places of nature and beauty.
Second reason: Our bodies and energy come from the earth. Wicca focuses on the importance of the earth and therefore it focuses on the importance of the self. That is important because without our bodies and positive energy, we could not live. I want to live.
In Wicca, there is only one main established rule that all Wiccans must abide by: As ye harm none, do what ye will. This means that you can't go out there and kill someone or sleep with your neighbor's spouse. That would be hurting someone and that is against the rule. You can't even hurt yourself. This includes staying healthy, keeping yourself in balance and making sure you're not too stressed.
Third reason: Wicca stresses we are to be kind to each other. If we aren't, then we cannot survive togeather. This rule ensures our survival.
Because Wicca states that we must be kind to each other, it is a religion of acceptance and tolerance for all people.
Fourth reason: Everyone deserves equal rights on this earth. We are all human and it shouldn't matter who you are or where you come from. We should all have equal opprotunity for spiritual fulfillment and Wicca ensures that everyone will have that chance and opprotunity.
As the bible provides instruction on how to live for Christians and what they should and should not believe in, Wicca has no written scripture so they are free to continuously expand and change as much as they wish.
Fith reason: as long as we harm none, we are free to grow. The bible limits your spiritual knowledge, but with the freedom Wicca ensure, the possibilities are endless.
Now that about sums it up. I'm not saying your religion is wrong, indeed it is the upmost best for you. It is just not the best for me. Thank you.

                        What a bunch of crap!

"Spiritual fulfillment?" I hope you enjoy getting "filled" with the giant barbed penises of Demons for all eternity!

As far as the Bible "limiting your spiritual knowledge", you couldn't be wronger if you tried. The Bible has EVERYTHING a Saved© person needs to lead a holy life and, more importantly, it has all the laws and rules we need to follow to prepare ourselves to serve God in Heaven for all eternity!

But you keep on worshipping trees and Gerald Gardner little missy, God will deal with YOU later!

Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Please dear, do not lash out at Brother Portway, he has your best interests at heart. I am certain that he sees you a lost soul that needs to be saved. Now, you may not agree with his methods, but you should be flattered that such an honorable True Christian™ cares enough about you and your eternal soul to take time out of his busy schedule to try and help you. It would not hurt for you to show a little gratitude.
