I don't understand. Are you offended by the killing (and/or maiming), or the use of bears? Do you somehow think it wrong for God to force bears to act in a manner inconsistent with their natures?

I'm not sure why either should offend me.

You see, God is all-knowing and all-powerful. That means He knows what is going to happen, and has the ability to change what is going to happen.

The fact that He allows what we consider 'bad' things to happen--rapes, murders, tortures, Hurrican Sandy, etc.--means He has chosen not to stop them.

Therefore, these things are all His Will.

God sent magic bears to kill (or perhaps just maim) 42 children. If that's not a miracle, I don't know what is!

(You see, bears normally only kill to protect their young or for food. For them to attack a large group of children, who would doubtless be running in all directions, and manage to chase down and injure or kill 21 children each . . . well, that's GOT to be a miracle!)

You're trying to play a childish game of gotcha. Simply posting verse out if context to try to get a rise out someone who actually believes in something noble and pure and Godly will get you no where.

Reading that verse properly shows to anyone with a tiny brain that Jesus sent those bears to kill wayward children who were disrespectful to an elder. So you see, reading it correctly renders the meaning obvious.

It's people like you who scare off people who may be Saved®. Irinka seems as if she wants to find Jesus and throw off her money grubbing, child mutilating past and be Saved ®.

Hello, Free! Please, understand me - I strongly believe that it is our own beliefs and our own behavior that we will be answering for when we stand before the Lord's throne. I cannot and will not turn or shift from the straight and narrow and will try my hardest to be like my Savior Jesus. We will all answer for our words and actions and it would be great to keep ourselves as clean as possible so as not to be ashamed when we meet our Lord.

Good morning! I did not label myself anything and I am not apologizing. I am merely stating a fact. I do not think being untruthful about one's origins is a good idea. I would like to think of myself as a person of honesty and integrity.
