Re: Hello, everyone!
I am sorry, Mr. Pendergast, I did not express myself too accurately. Yes, the Old testament of the Russian Bible was translated from the Septuagint. And thank you for answering my question - I was yet again enlightened by the great knowledge of the people attending this forum! Praise Jesus!

Re: Hello, everyone!
There is an essential flaw in your argument. Clearly, if I tossed 42 kids who annoyed me into a bear cage at the zoo I would be a maniac. But to imply God would have a bad reason for coming through on Elisha's curse and ripping those brats to bits... Well if you can't see how wrong that is already...Originally posted by FreeFromBrains View PostSo let me get this straight.
You both see nothing wrong with Jesus killing 42 kids via bears?
Seriously?
Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Re: Hello, everyone!
The Septaugint is a Greek translation of the Old Testament. The New Testament of the 1611 KJV is based on the Textus Receptus (Received Text), the only accurate Greek text. The Notoriously Inaccurate Version, however, is based on manuscripts corrupted by the Papists, such as Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. The translators of the Notoriously Inaccurate Version cherry picked from a variety of manuscripts in order to water down the message of the Bible and make it suit their liberal agenda.Originally posted by Irinka the repentant jewess View PostMr. Pendergast, I was looking at another thread where you had shared about the omissions in the NIV translation. I was so fascinated by this and I looked at KJV and NIV in parallel and you are right, those verses are mot included in the NIV. When I went to Bible school, I studied various versions but it never occurred to me to study them in parallel. Interestingly, the Russian translation does not omit these verses - they are all there. I believe the Russian translation was made from the Septuagint so what did they use to make the NIV?

Re: Hello, everyone!
Sexual deviants and packers of mud that hate God and prefer to wallow in their filthy sin rather than ask for help from Jesus Christ. The NIV is a wicked distortion of God's Word that encourages sexual sin and mollycoddles perverts.Originally posted by Irinka the repentant jewess View PostI believe the Russian translation was made from the Septuagint so what did they use to make the NIV?
But God will have the last laugh, praise Him!
Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
In Christ

Faith, I wrote him a message this morning and received a response from him. He said that he was feeling much better and seemed a lot more content and at peace. Have. Even praying for him since yesterday.Originally posted by Faith_Machine View PostI've been trying to get a hold of Deaner all day, but I fear he's laid up with the Morgellons. Re: Hello, everyone!
You know, Reverend, I am well aware of the Biblical passages speaking about sorcerers, mediums and witches, but you know how we, Christians of today, tend to remove ourselves from the Biblical times and, as of by default, think that it is somehow all in the past, all far away from us and does not really have any bearing on our lives. At Moody, they kept teaching us how important it is to keep the Word of God relevant to our lives at all times and not to lose that connection and that very personal participation in the realities of life that is unseen, unspoken of but nevertheless very present and intertwined with our mandane everyday existence.Originally posted by Rev. Or did you mean about not wanting anybody to tell Widow Helen what I said about her pie? That's serious, too!
You can imagine, Irinka, that right about now I'd be tempted to crack open one of these books to help Deaner. But I will not; instead, I will join with my fellow Prayer Warriors in asking the Lord to relieve Deaner of this delirium tremens-like curse!

Re: Hello, everyone!
It sounds like you may have a touch of the Morgellons disease. The bugs are not invisible; they're just under your skin.Originally posted by Deaner View PostI... am fine Brothers Faith, Rodimer, Carl and Matthew. And of course, Sister Irinka.
The only thing is; I feel bugs. Invisible bugs crawling all over me and thru out the room. They bite me and leave slime on my skin.
I need to sleep. Oh please God... let me sleeeeepp.
If you have any sores or lesions, you'll want to inspect them closely and see if you can pull any Morgellons fibers out of your skin. They may look something like this:

If you'd like to learn more about your disease, be sure to check Rense.com, which also happens to be an excellent source of information about Judaism!
