My daddy doesn't like to "discuss" the Bible so much as read it aloud over and over word for word. He says the last thing you should do with God's Word is think about it, because that is likely to turn you into an atheist.

Yes, looking back, "discuss" was not a good word choice on my part. It should be more like, "Give us your favorite Bible verse and let's sing praise together!"

Ron, when you asked your father if you could sell his house and give the proceeds to Landover, maybe it was a knee jerk response when he said no. Try again when he is in a better mood, say after his morning coffee. Try to imagine what an entertaining story it will be a decade or so in the future when other parents are storytelling about their childrens antics like spilling milk on a new carpet or using crayons on a kitchen wall, when your parents can trump the other parents by telling them that you obtained a quit claim deed and sold their house while they were at work! What a knee slapping story that would be for your family at a rescue mission soup line a few years from now!

I'll ask him maybe after my mother delivers the baby an its a boy he would be sure to say yes or maybe after something real good happens it would be a great story I will try my hardest yea-tho-we-walk!

I asked father and he said NO. If I go ahead and do it I would be disrespecting my parents and I would be lying both are forbidden by the bible.

The Holy Bible says that poor people like you should give everything they own to God. It'll all come back tenfold, if your faith is strong enough.

Ron, do you want your father to burn in the lake of fire? It is your obligation to help him into Heaven any way possible. All of his earthly possesions are in fact idols that he is inadvertantly worshipping instead of Jesus. Right this moment, Jesus is building mansions in Heaven for the saved and your fathers worldly belongings could easily land him in hell. Why take chances with both your fathers and your salvation for the sake of a few coin collections, firearms, hubcaps, video cameras, outboard motors, electric razors or other needless material possesions? Actually you should quietly sell your fathers house when he is at work and give the money to the poor (Landover Baptist will handle that part), then you will be perfect in the eyes of the Lord!!

Sir I am lying to some extent. We do have some valuable assets and we do live near a pawn shop, but I can't sell fathers things that is Lieng and thieving, and I apologize for Lieng early, but I just can't sell fathers things. He would beat me brainless,and would probably go get his things back. Is there anyway I can still e a forum member I really want to be a member of the forums.

Wanting to be a certain, higher spiritual status is a sure way of not being raised to that level. Those who put their trust and Faith in Jesus are content whatever their lot in life. To wish for more indicates that you are dissatisfied with what God has given you – blasphemy.
