    Hey there

    Hello, True Christians

My Name is Eli Celina and I am from northern Germany. In fact, I am an atheist- my parents never believed in any gods, I never was in church, I never hold a bible in my hands and I never heard a prayer in my whole life. My family forbid it to me and I wasn't allowed to go to religion class at school.
So, now it's like I think the evolution theory sounds very true. But in the same time, I have friends who go to church and celebrate Christmas and I was wondering- what is so fascinating about that religion? And somehow, I like the idea of a god, having a life with rules. I already ordered a bible, so I can read it, too.
I came hear because of my curiousity. You claim to be True Christians, so I thought, if someone can give me answers, then it's you. I really wonder- what is it that you love about the religion? What convinced you that God is real? Are you happy, even though I heard there are strict rules in life? There is so much I would like to know.
My family tell me, God is nonsense. But something inside of my wants to believe there is another reason in our life than just... living.

Please, don't insult me for being an atheist or something. I really just want to discuss with you and find out about the lives of Christians

    Cheers

I'm sorry to hear that. Praise the LORD He brought you here so that you can take the Good News back to them! I'm sure you don't want them to spend an eternity being brutally tortured as divine justice dictates they ought to be.

What is it they say? Hear a lie enough times and it starts to sound true.

Being spared an eternity of torment, both physical and emotional.

Sometimes, other times I am overwhelmed with guilt. Knowing my sins nailed the Sweet Baby Jesus on a splintery, cruel cross makes me weep, sometimes for hours on end. I hate thinking of the little tiny Holy Babe, his little fingers wrapped around his mother's finger, knowing that one day that little hand would have a nine inch nail driven through it because of what I would do thousands of years in the future. Knowing I'm born predisposed to sin means I know that I can never earn Salvation. Ever. I am not worthy and that makes me choke up. The guilt can be overpowering and I have to run to my prayer closet to praise the LORD for having deigned pay attention to me, much less Save me.

Well, if you want to believe something is true, then why not just go ahead and believe it's true?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Nope… It’s all malicious falsehood. Read the bible and you’ll see.

We’re infinitely happy since we know we will go to Heaven. Wouldn’t you be happy if you knew you would go to heaven? And there is nothing strict about the rules. All of them make perfect sense so they’re very easy to follow.

Don’t you worry, we never insult anyone.
      Stop whining
(1 Thessalonians 5:18) - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(1 Corinthians 10:10) - Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer
(Psalm 106:25) - But murmured in their tents, And hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD
(Ephesians 4:29) - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

You poor soul, they have brainwashed you, I'm glad you came here like I to find the truth. The bible reveals all, inside you will find the truth and nothing but the truth

          Re: Hey there

Thank you for the honest answers I now see, why you call yourself True Christians- you really seem to love God with all your heart. To be honest, I envy you for this ability.
Since I don't know anything about God yet, I will take a look at the other threads until my bible arrives.

And of course, I would love to go to heaven I just can't imagine it. Everything in my life is just based on logic and science, explained by humans, so that it's hard for me to believe in something, that you cannot explain. So, I really envy you for the passion and your faith. I wish I would have it too.

To be honest, I thought a lot about God and I heard from my friends, that it's an old man. But in my imagination, I always think of him as a pure light, the one who makes everything work and that always was and always will be. The one who gives us the energy to live. Is there anything said about his look? I can't imagine him as a human, because humans are so inperfect and rotten in their minds. Everyone is egoistic and rotten and bad. So I always thought he is just pure light, or actually he is everything. God is the water I drink, and the sky and the earth and the beat of my heart. Do you think, if everyone would follow God, life on earth would be better too?

I can't wait to take another look at the other topics By the way, the reason I finally decided to learn more about God is, because I asked someone why he does believe in God. And he told me: If you see a building, you know it has an architect."
That sentence just made sense in my mind and somehow I started to believe: Maybe he is right. Maybe there is more. And I can't wait to find out myself. I hope, I will be able to believe really honest and with all my heart, like you do

Who wouldn't? Why would you choose to burn in Hell for all eternity instead, when you can go to paradise?

Explained by humans who are bound for Hell no doubt! We can explain the truth, all answers are in the bible, seek and you shall find. The creation story is 100% true

Man is made in Gods image, yet our impure, imperfect minds and souls, born into rotten sin are of our own making from the Original Sin. God is perfect and pure, free from all sin. God created everything on Earth, you see his majesty in the water, the sky and the earth and in your heart.

You can't just believe what your parents believe or what you were taught at school. You've got to think for yourself. Everything you think you know is a lie. Lucky for me, I was born into a Christian home and was raised knowing the truth, so I've never had to think for myself. If you want to see evilution debunked, visit our creation science forum.

And somehow, I like the idea of a God, having a life with rules.
                  Praise God!

1 Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

I already ordered a bible, so I can read it, too.
If I were you, I wouldn't wait for it to arrive. Start reading it online now.

Don't believe your parents. Life is purposeless without God (Eccl 1:2).

Such great advice in this forums. The wrong mental image can result in idolatry.

Why should a naked child be perverted? And I actually looked up some pictures of angels and most of them were naked. If you go to a store here in Germany, you can see a lot of angel statures all being naked. I didn't know it's a bad thing.

Please show me in the KJV Bible where angels are described as little naked children. I admit, I've only read the Bible cover-to-cover about 11 times and I don't recall that part, although it's possible I missed it.
