It is. All of their points are backed up with Holy Scripture in context.

...if this is christisnity (which it isnt)...
So what is Christianity, in your view? How much of the Bible is it necessary to ignore (in direct contravention of said Bible, of course)?

    Sir or Madam

As a guest on these forums it would be rude of me to engage you in debate, as much as I would enjoy doing so.

I'm sure the True Christians on this forum have no desire to watch two unsaved scum such as you and I indulge in a slap fight. I'll leave it to someone else address your insults against the Godly folk on these boards.

    Good day

We preach the Bible word for word. Obviously you have not read it at all and are just as judgemental and ignorant as you claim we are. You are a hypocrite. You don't even know if you're a boy or a girl. Christ hates you.

So I've registered because I have a question. Is there anyway I can get my godless agnostic woman to be more obedient, submissive and nice without actually becoming a Baptist? You know cause I'm God hating, sin loving atheist scum and all so obviously becoming a Baptist isn't really an option.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Dr Niles

One thing I have found with the majority of atheists I know is that they are firmly entrenched within the atheistic paradigm with shared preconceptions and conditioning.

As a Psychotheological Analyst Therapist I'm sure you are aware that when people are invested in any such paradigm they are unable to apply proper critical thinking to it. It's only once we step outside of our belief system that we are properly able to critique it.

My presence on these boards among the true Christians is a allowing me to step outside the atheist paradigm and apply proper critical thinking to my own long held beliefs.

It's incredibly enlightening and I thank all the True Christians on this board for allowing me to stink up the boards with my sin whilst I do so.

I must say too that the King James Bible is a surprisingly good read.

It appears that the consensus on this thread is that I need to read my King James Bible. With so many good folk suggesting the same path it would seem foolish for me to do anything else.

I think I’ll take a few days off work and spend some time reading my Bible. The company practically runs itself now anyway. I've been very fortunate in terms of my professional life; it’s only in my personal and spiritual life that I find myself struggling.

Mary, thank you for your compassion towards a worthless sinner, your kindness is very humbling. I can feel something stirring just from reading your kind words. If you could say a prayer for this sinner while he reads the Good Book I would be most grateful.
I must say that this sounds all very positive. Too many just mock our most cherished beleifs but if an atheist such as yourself can drag himself away from the hate and lewd sexual practices long enough to read the Bible for a day or two it is sound proof (if proof be need be) that Jesus is alive and well, working His divine plan 24/7!

    Glory!

If the choice were as simple as being in heaven with Jesus, and maybe Granny, or burning up like bull ants when you pour petrol into their nest and light it, then of course any rational person would choose Jesus and heaven.

The problem for me though is I have never been touched by Jesus. Granny used to pray that one day Jesus would call me but so far it's just not happened.

Perhaps the purpose of some folk (like myself) is to provide an example of what not to do for godly Christian folk like yourself. Also it seems unlikely God would create a lake of eternal fire and then not want at least a few people to go in there so the Christians in heaven can appreciate the righteousness of their decision to praise Jesus.

I'm not a very good atheist, I do have a copy of Darwin's The Origin of Species on my bookshelf and I have tried to read it a few times but I get a few pages in and I end up with a pounding headache. It's more there for show when other atheists visit.
Oh believe me, there are PLENTY of sinners who are at this moment burning in Hell (including Darwin). And Jesus has called you, you are on this forum aren't you? And you say that everytime you get a few pages into Darwin's book you get a headache, these are signs from The Lord, do not ignore them. Us Christians don't need examples of what not to do, the Bible tells us everything we should and shouldn't do. Accept Jesus into your heart!

That will never happen when you read the KJV, sinner. In fact, the best cure for a migraine or insomnia is to review the book of Numbers from beginning to end. Invigorating and soul-refreshing, I tell you. Burn that evolutionist trash and pick up the Bible...

Still at least by retrieving the Bible it brought back lots of happy memories of Granny.

She used to get us to wheel her out onto the veranda of the homestead so she could yell at the aboriginal stockman that worked on the cattle station.
Granny would call them “lazy heathen darkies” and tell them their skins were dark cause they were descended from some bloke in the Bible that angered god, can’t recall the name, Sham maybe?

All the aboriginals respected Granny though. I remember the time three aboriginal elders came down from up north and held a special ceremony for her. They had kangaroo fur stuck to them, slippers made of cockatoo feathers and masks made from emu feathers. They looked pretty funny. Anyway they did a dance and one pointed a sharpened kangaroo bone at Granny.

Now while I’m sure it was a sign of the great regard the black fellas had for Granny she didn't take to heathen rituals and she starting shouting for my dad to bring his gun and clear them off. Dad fired a few shots over their heads and they took off flat out, faster than a lizard drinking back into the scrub.

We laughed about that one I can tell you.
His name was Ham, a son of Noah, he represents the Canaan people (Black people), he saw his father's nakedness and that cursed black people forever (Genesis 9: 25).
I have a question, do you wish to be saved and spend eternity with Jesus? Or do you want to stay an atheist?

I found granny’s old Bible and had a bit of a read. It’s a pretty long book so instead of starting at the beginning I went straight to the verses Mr Creeser referred to up thread and sat down with my wife and tried reading the verses to her.

Unfortunately she became quite emotional and said some pretty awful things about me and the bible and God and Christians. I won’t repeat any of the things she said as I understand this is a family board and I wouldn’t want any children or good Christian women to read it.

Then she asked me what the Bible said about masturbation and when I answered that I didn’t know she said “you better hope it’s not a sin cause it’s the only sex you’ll be getting for some time” then stormed off into the bedroom and locked the door leaving me sleeping on the couch. I’m not sure she’s ready to be touched by Jesus.

Somewhat discouraged I went onto my usual atheist forum and low and behold found a thread entitled “Abrahamic Faiths and their continued degradation of women and gays”.

Feeling a little more knowledgeable on the subject after the helpful replies here I logged in and offered a suggestion that some of the rules in the Bible regarding women didn't sound too bad. Well that thread blew up quicker than an Arab suicide bomber at a Bar Mitzvah . Everyone piled on and I can’t help feeling a bit discouraged.
Don't give up, here is a good thread to show her because in truth she sounds a bit like a feminazi:
