If my perception of these boards are correct, this thread and perhaps the account will be promptly deleted, since these posts seem very, well... I won't say single-minded, (but that's the first word that came to mind) but at the very least outside input is shunned.

So the lingering question is, are these boards REAL? Are you guys REAL? I can't help but look at this community and wonder if it's a bunch of people trolling the internet, or if there is a community out there like this.

I've seen everything from "black people are evil" to "stone the gays" to "minecraft is brainwashing". You do realize that nearly every single post in this community (and many of your profile pics, to boot) are stereotypical cult propoganda?

Heck, the question I had to answer to create a username (which a quick google fixed btw) was "Is it not to the men that sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung and drink their own piss with you". WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

And for all the evil you claim in the outside world, your community seems very intolerant, very violent, and very oppressive. Isn't that evil in itself? Intolerance, Violence, Oppression? Look at your smileys in the post thread box. They are just standing around, and they get bombed and nothing but their skulls remain. Why does that exist? Why, why is that a thing?

But I digress, I didn't come here to challenge religion or to insult anyone. I just wanted to get to know about a community that is radically opposite of my own.

    Good day.

The first being, taking the bible literally. This is your community, it seems (is it not?). You do everything according to the bible, within the governments ruling, of course. (As much as the statement bothers me, I doubt most, if any of you have "stoned" someone. That might just be wishful thinking, of course.)

The second being, taking the bible as a series of moral stories, as to how you should live your life. That is the religion I come from. If I live good, treating others with respect, helping those less fortunate and spreading good will to all around me (as I'm attempting to do here by getting to understand your community), then why should I fear hell? God will see his work was done well.
Why do you believe that your characterization of God is the correct one and that He ignores His own plan of salvation as spelled out in the Bible? Why do you believe that your characterization of the Bible is the correct one, when most of it is presented as literally true?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. This is precisely why you need to read the Holy Bible. This 1970's hippy-dippy Jesus-is-the-ultimate-love-child stuff is not only unfounded, it'll bring you straight to eternal damnation. You owe it to yourself to know the Truth©.

Well of course we haven't stoned people, silly! It's not legal. Would you feel better if capital punishment consisted of pushing people out of windows? Or is it only modern day solutions like the electric chair or lethal injection you support?

Well look what that "religion" you came from did for you - it convinced you God isn't real, He's just an anthropomorphication of "brotherly love." The problem with that, dear, is it simply does not conform with the Holy Bible. It goes against what God Himself actually says. Therefore, it cannot be real. It cannot be valid. There is no value in this lie. If you want to treat others with respect, respect their health and emotional well-being and help them avoid an eternity of torment.

I mean no offense by this, while offense is sure to be taken, but when I see bombs being dropped on people as a smiley face and people making good fun out of "stoning" people to "purify" them, that's pretty extremist. <-- Why is that needed?
It may be true that conservative threats and retaliatory attacks have increased by 200%, coinciding with the tenure of the first negrodal president of the United States. It may be true that Homeland Securtiy now considers devout Christians ("that seek to... impose strict religious tenets or laws on society... forcibly insert religion into the political sphere") to be "terrorists," but they misunderstand and misrepresent Christians. We don't seek to "forcibly insert religion," we seek only to remind people why living in fear of God is the best for everyone (2 Chronicles 7:14). Our only "weapon" is the Word of God, dear.

No, the only way to make the earth a better place is to spread the Gospel so people can live with morals and know how to treat each other well.

I'm sorry, I'm not a philosopher. What are you asking me? Does evil exist? Yes. Yes it does. Does it affect people? Yes. Yes it does. Can we be delivered from evil? Yes. Yes we can.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

My friend, let me assure you that my flock is not racist. However, don't refer to Americans of African-American origins as black. The majority of them are nigrals. Here you can find a group of fine Brothers and Sisters who understand Christ the Lord. They know the difference between a True Christian and a Nigral.

Homosexuals have no place anywhere. They're just evil and the Bible explains it quite clearly in Leviticus 5:3, God doesn't want the homosexual to be a part of his rampant wisdom. God doesn't like that stuff. As for Minecraft, I know it's a video game, but I don't let my children play video games other than Solitaire because exposing my children to games will probably expose them to the type of homosexual pedorests that the Bible does so condemn.

              Re: An Honest Question

Are I serious, it isn't everyday that we see such ignorance of God's truth as in your posts, well, actually I guess it is everyday now that I think about it. My suggestion to you would be, google "Westboro Baptist--God hates fags" and join up and chat with the middle of the road, moderate so called Christians there just to get your feet wet with the teachings of the Bible, then, like a child leaving Sunday school for the real world of church, you will be one step closer to the Bible's real teachings and will be somewhat more prepared for Jesus's real truth as spoken here at Landover!!!

For "an honest question", there's a lot more statement than question, and I don't think that's very honest. The short answer is what is REAL is the Word of GOD. A longer and better answer comes from the Scriptures themselves:

                  Psalm 19:7-11

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Why blind yourself with pointless doubt when the Truth is as close as your nearest Bible? John 8:32
For every sinner who burns in Hell, there's a little more room for the rest of us in Heaven.
