I am an atheist. I don't believe in God.

I was a fundamentalist Christians attending seminaries and I was going to be a minister, however, I began to investigation into the topic of Christianity and religion as a whole for enjoyment. Years later, rationality made my faith in any God and the Bible to fly out of the window. This was because I was studying religion, philosophy, history and science that made me change the way I understood the universe and the world around, making me a better man. This helped me go into the industry of science, ending up in University and achieving my Master's degree. I no longer defend atheism; I actively promote it. Nevertheless, I understand this is a Christian forum to praise Jesus, and that is why I came. Of course, I don't want to make people into atheists, even though I do believe atheism and secular humanism are vastly better than religions in ensuring our survival and achieving our potentials as humans. But I want to learn from other 'True' Christians and understand your own views of The Bible and God, together with why you believe in what you do.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

Yes, the Devil's temptations are strong, and guess what, friend; you fell to them. Satan put science and the flesh and other evils in your way and you abandoned Jesus to make your bed with Lucifer like the plants from seeds that fell on stony places or were choked by thorns (see Matthew 13:18-23).

Sad, friend. Very sad, but it isn't too late to come back (Luke 15:7).

I didn't go looking for a reason not to believe in God. My study was to specifically fulfill my obligation (I Peter 3:15) where I am expected to provide an answer and reason for the hope that I had. It was a way of finding out if my beliefs were actually justifiable, and whether I was able to give good reason for other people to believe things I believe when was a Christian. Science is based upon proof, evidence, testable and useful, while religion is based upon faith. There is no sufficient reason(s) for you to believe the Bible is true, unless if you can provide otherwise?

Of course, I was a Christian. I followed the Bible and it made me an atheist (Like it does to most atheists). You just need to do more investigation.

Seriously, Christians or their pastors say a lot of false things about atheists in order to prevent the faithful from looking into what an atheist thinks and how he/she became an atheist. The faithful might learn something that could lead to discoveries that can lead a person to atheism, and the church can't have that. Even a cursory look at the typical Christian makes it obvious that being a Christian does not prevent people from "sinning." Surely, if you are an atheist the concept of sinning does not exist.

I'm an atheist not because I love "sin", considering I don't believe it. I'm an atheist because there is no evidence; nor is there a need for a God.

Soon you will join them, your terror mounts as your screams become gargled with the stench of Hells evil smell. The heat becomes excruciating as you notice your skin peeling away and your bones becoming visible and black. Flaming and screaming in anguish, you splashdown into the acidic brimstone of Satans Lake at around 250 MPH. You are instantly vaporized and reformed as a tormented soul writhing in absolute terror in the deafening depths of the Lake that Burns Eternal. The pain is beyond comprehension as you gnash your teeth so hard they shatter in your mouth. Satan periodically plucks you from the flames to savagely rape repeatedly and casually tosses you to his infernal minions to rip apart and rape at will, only to be reformed and have this scenario repeated...over and over and over, forever.
Is it still funny mocking our mission to Save your soul? We want you to enjoy Heaven and eternal praise and worship at the feet of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

God lets people die all the time, for good reason too. He expressly tells us we do not have to know what, just that He does it for His own good. Nearly all the people He kills off are worthless people, and none are faithful, so there is little reason for them to live.

When we go to investigate the Bible, not only do we have this problem about not knowing who the authors are, and not having any original copies, we find that the Bible is contradictory to itself in places, contradictory to science and other places, and incorrect to some of historical findings. There is no reason for you to believe the Bible is true.

Captain Kirk said "What does God need with a starship." Quoting the Bible isn't going to get you anywhere because you haven't demonstrated why anyone should consider the Bible to be true or authoritative.

Nope, no sinners here. There is no god, there is no sin, and the folks who believe in a judgmental, frowning sky daddy and take comfort in the idea of being "washed in blood" are the ones who need help.

There is no sufficient and large enough evidence to back up the claims to believe it. That is why it's based on faith. You've only got the Bible. Other than that, no record whatsoever that he ever even existed.
