That's easy.. Argumentum ad populum. It's Latin, meaning, "appeal to the people"

It refers to a fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or most people believe it. In other words, the basic idea of the argument is: "If many believe so, it is so."

That was to keep in line the BILLIONS of Catholics before Martin Luther and Protestantism how the Bible is to be interpreted so there isn't mass confusion and society as a whole ran smoother.

I LOVE my religion, and its history, so hunny, I truly doubt you know more than I about it.

Wrong. The history of the catholic church is the history of forcing obedience to the magesterium. Study of the Bible was left to the priests (who were the only ones who could read and understand Latin). The parishioners are taught to trust the priest's interpretation and always have been. The first priest who defied that, Martin Luther, was excommunicated for his "heresy."
Although you have no idea what you're talking about as you're unqualified to tell me what my church believes as I am to tell you about yours, if your church had as many followers as the Catholic church I'm sure there would be MUCH, MUCH more violence, control and forcing obedience on the public than my church ever has in history. We don't pretend that there aren't metaphors in the bible taking everything literally is foolish.

If the Bible said that, then yes, BUT IT DOESN'T.

Revelation 22:18-19 "18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Ok. I heard in another part of this forum most of the forum men agreeing that they are repulsed by a woman's vagina.

Are the men of this forum attracted to men? Because a normal straight male is attracted to every inch of a woman's body.

Leviticus 19:19 says not to wear clothing of mixed cloths, but we all wear 50% polyester and 50% cotton clothing.

Leviticus 19:27 says men should not cut their beards, but they do.

Leviticus 19:16 says do not gossip but christians all do, especially about who deny it.

Do people who haven't heard of Jesus Christ and sin end up in hell?

You want to call yourself a Christian? Start obeying the Bible.
I'm curious, since you interpret the bible "literally"

What does Jesus mean when he says, "If your eye offends you pluck it out"?

Does he mean he wants everyone to walk this earth blind, or does he mean when you see something that offends you to put a stop to it?

...Are you telling me that the other 2 billion Christians in the world are damned?...
    That's what the Bible says:

James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

...Do you have a problem with the way I pray? How is the correct way to pray?...
Matthew 6:5-13 "5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (ie. NO LITANIES, rosaries, Hail Marys, etc.) 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

...Right, he was the king of the Jews...
That's what the Romans called Him. What did the Romans do to Him? Don't think too hard.

Says the man who thinks it's ok to worship images of dead "saints" and goes to a church where indulgences were sold and the funds used to build St. Peter's Cathedral.

Go fellowship with the damned. You are one of them.

See Luke 11:1-13. Note that Mary is never mentioned there.

Stupid? No, stupid is worshipping a man on earth who sits in the place of God on earth who will split Hell wide open along with all who follow him...

"1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thess. 2:1-12)

"1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer." (I Tim 4:1-4)

You might take a look at how well your demonic church fits the bill for being targeted for destruction in Scripture before you continue persecuting our Faith.

We only hate whom God hates and demotes as He did the Arabs and all descendants of Ishmael long ago (see Genesis 16:12; 21:9-13), but even they aren't forbidden from Salvation through Jesus Christ™ if they will repent of their dirty ways.

What amazes me is how you can't see that Jesus Christ was the son of Jeconiah according to Matthew 1:12, and Jeconiah was cursed in Jeremiah 22:24 and 22:30 and could never sit upon Israel's thrown again, nor could any descendant, which means if Jesus is to rule as "the Lion of the Tribe of Judah" (Rev 5:5), He had to do so irrespective of the Law since He wasn't a Levite (see Hebrews 8:4). This means Jesus could not have been a Jew, even though He was their King and could in some ways be said to resemble one (see Isaiah 53:1-2).

Jesus Christ rode a White Horse, with blond hair and blue eyes, (Rev 19:6-21) and the only nation today that reflects His values is the United States of America, which means Jesus was as American as apple pie and hot dogs--and always was (Hebrews 13:8).

    Deal with it.

    Pastor Ed
Jesus is American? Sounds like Mormon thinking to me.

But you're right. You have the right to believe what you want and I'll believe what I know to be true.

No matter how much you wish it to be true, I, nor the 2 billion other Christians on this planet will not be going to hell. As long as someone believes in Jesus Christ, repents their sins and is a good person, does good and follows the bible the best they can, they will go to heaven.
