How can I connect to god more?

I'm Brandon, and I go to Saint John The Baptist Church, in Wading River, and I'm currently in Leviticus of the bible, so I haven't read much. But mainly I want more tips on how I, personally, can connect with god more, like doing more good deeds, reading more of the bible, and etc... So how can I get more connected to god, and be able to be accepted into heaven?

Hello, dear. You have your work cut out for you. For starters, it would be immensely helpful if you capitalized the word God: I do not think that God wants to be close to anyone who is so disrespectful to Him. A church called St. John sounds a lot more like a Catholoc or an EpIscopal church rather than Baptist. I am glad you are reading the Bible. What is your favorite verse so far?
Joshua 1:6: "Bee strong, and of a good courage: for vnto this people shalt thou diuide for an inheritance the land which I sware vnto their fathers to giue them".

Re: How can I connect to god more?

Welcome to the forum, Brandon. It's good to see that you are diligently seeking God (Heb 11:6). You're either connected to God or you're not. Just call on the name of the Lord, and He will save you.

Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Keep reading God's Word, and more importantly, keep His Word. You can't afford to break one commandment.

Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Welcome to our happy and friendly forums, Brandon.

As a first step, I would recommend very strongly indeed that you abandon Catholic idolatry and find a good Baptist Church in or near Wading River (what a fine name for a town that is, it sounds like just the place for full-immersion baptism).

        And keep reading.

Stop sodomizing little boys and cut human flesh out of your diet immediately! Then you should read the Bible for details.

Brother Brandon, you have come here as have many before you, guided by God's love for you, to His people. Praise God!

You are reading the Bible, a joy that the Catholic Church tried to deny you as they burned Christians and flayed them alive for their wish to know God. You no doubt have a false Roman version of the Bible and you need to get a King James version immediately, before you read another word. The KJV is the true accounting of God's Word.

Also, get away from the Roman Church as fast as you can. Their priests and idols do not serve God and only serve to keep you from Him. They are not Christians, but rather religious con men. They preach poverty, but that is for you. They are richer than the Jews. These are the same Romans who crucified Jesus and they have been carrying around effigies of Him on the cross, in agony, ever since to remind them of their triumph.

Continue to come to this site and enjoy fellowship with other Christians. Read the King James Bible and enjoy your new relationship with Jesus. God Bless!

                Oh PRAISE GOD!

I await rejoicing with the angels when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master over your ENTIRE LIFE! We will be dancing the "Happy Dance" in the Etheldreda Home when you have been Born Again!

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Brother Brandon, I believe that once you are saved, you will see both your sentence structure and your punctuation improve to near perfect. There is no guarantee regarding spelling.

Welcome and congratulations on finding a path to Jesus, thereby avoiding the searing flames of perdition.

Boy, you are reading the wrong Bible. Hurry to your nearest store and get yourself a copy of the KJV 1611 Bible. Throw away that namby pamby one your aunt gave you.
