Our words don't really matter, brother. John 8:47 speaks of whose words you should listen to: "He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God."

And hey, you didn't respond to my earlier questions (unless you did so as I was writing this.)

      Hello Mr. Fangels

I'll be happy to answer your question. The process is as follows...

      1) We hear the Word of God as taught in the KJV Bible (the only true Bible): "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)

      2) We believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths Christ the Lord: "8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:8-10)

      3) This faith conviction leads us to abandon all sin: "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3) This, of course, assumes one's commitment has freed them from any lingering sins, such as queerdom.

      4) The last step led us to the final step, water baptism for the remission of sins: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

Having followed all steps, a new life with Christ is begun, in which we continually repent and confess our sins and the Blood of Christ continually forgives (see I John 1:7).

      In His Grace,

      Pastor Ed

Reading over the rest of this thread, it seems you have the wrong attitude, Mr. Fangels.

We at Landover never want to step out of line of the straight and narrow of God's Word, by which all men will be judged (Matthew 7:13-14; John 12:48), but you seem to think that the passages you gave teach that we shouldn't judge. Such is not the case; read the context and you'll see Jesus authorizes going beam hunting so long as we've gone mote hunting first. Romans 2:1 says: "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things." That should put it in perspective for you.

The Bible unequivocally teaches that we should judge...

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24)

"For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?" (I Corinthians 5:12)

Please take a moment to readjust your attitude so that you can see these issues clearly.

"What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?" (I Corinthians 4:21)

        Yours in Him,

        Pastor Ed

I believe you are an Englishman, Matthew David Horton, though I do not rule out the opinions expressed earlier that you are likely a Frenchman.

Ordinarily, it is incumbent upon the supplicant to answer a few basic questions. We are hoping to get to know you and we are hoping you are not another English homosexual. Either we get them all on this site, or the state of English manhood is in disarray. At least 85% of the English who come to this site are homosexuals and most of the rest seem to be drug addicted beer heads who come to make sport of Christians.

For now, I gladly give you the benefit of the doubt. When did you find Jesus? Do you have children? How do you fit all the groceries in those dreadful tiny English refrigerators?

My refrigerator is four feet wide and almost six feet tall. We all have one like that over here. I'm just being friendly. Englishmen always love our refrigetrators.

Faith, works, baptism and avoidance of all sin.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

All the Heavens including the third one can be entered into:

                2 Corinthians 12:1-4

You can go to Heaven only one way:
                Works John 5:29
                Faith and Works James 2:17
                Do God's Will 1 John 2:17
                Repent Luke 13:3, 5
Endure to the End Matthew 10:22

If you simply do this one thing you will go to Heaven.

Thanks for asking and may the Lord find you worthy of having selected you before the foundation of the world (Romans 8)

There is no such thing as a Christian "orthodox" because they all worship idols.

Methodists disregard many aspects of God's Clear Commandment, which means that they consider Him to be a liar.

Landover Baptist follows The Word of God and not something we just made up because it looks nice printed in Comic Sans, or because it rhymes or legitimises depravity. Baptists are the original Church but many have fallen away from The Truth. Nevertheless, a Baptist Church which does follow The Bible would be Christian, as indeed would any other Church following The Word but obviously if they have adopted some humanist dogma and rejected The Holy Spirit we are not looking at Christianity are we.

Tell tale signs of the secularist agenda would include comments such as "Whether Orthodox, Baptist, Methodist, etc. one is a Christian" which is patently false.
II Peter 1:16-21 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. KJV

Have you seen the movie made in 1956 that was titled the Storm Center? It starred Betty Davis as a librarian and she had a relationship with a young man who was infected with books, and as the story developed he wound up burning down the library because the city council convinced his father that she was a communist demon intent on destroying the very society that we all love and know as a product of the one true Lord and Savior known as the Christ Jesus. You may be approaching a path on the road to salvation where you will meet someone with Betty Davis eyes and I strongly suggest that you review this black and white movie for hints that may possibly save your eternal soul.
