This is a great temptation for any parent, but a True Christian™ always puts Christ first. You might remind your friend that Isaac's father also loved him very much, but when the LORD told him to slit the throat of his son and burn his corpse as an offering (for we know the LORD finds the scent of burning flesh a pleasing aroma, Exodus 29:18; Leviticus 2:9; Ephesians 5:2), he was willing to comply. That shows a real love for God.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Another question that he asked that I did not have an answer for at that moment was, how is it when we get to Heaven? On earth we have an earthly family, mom - dad - son - daughter etc. It won't be that way in Heaven, will we recognize our spouse/children in Heaven and be able to spend time with them as we do here on earth?

Interesting question. To the best of my knowledge, we will have total amnesia (Isaiah 65:17). Even God will have amnesia (Isaiah 43:25). We will see God and be like him (1 John 3:2), but not like Mormons expect, because we won’t be gods/goddesses of our own universes - that's just silly. No one will be married (Matthew 22:23-30; Galatians 3:28), well, except to Jesus, but not in a gay way for the men (Isaiah 54:5; Ephesians 5:31-32; Revelation 19:7). I do think, however, that we will be so happy that we won't care any more.

That is what I had thought, and I had found some of those passages to support my thought. But I wasn't 100% sure, or wasn't sure if I was missing a passage of Scripture that was pivotal to an explanation.

          Thank you!

Hello, Indigo. Just so you know, I only have five fingers on each hands, I did not kill your father, and I'm not prepared to die!

I am curious though if you're the Indigo Child of the greatest swordsman in the world?

But Alas, I guess my search must continue for the 6 fingered man.

Oh how at times I wish I did have super powers as described the Indigo Child does/did. However, I am just a mere mortal human.

You're fortunate these Baptists don't have the wits of a Sicilian.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Only if you consider a movie where there is absolutely no nudity...and a few "choice" words a porn.

It's one of the greatest movies of all times, It's inconceivable that you have not seen that movie! haha

It's also inconceivable that you misspelled Inigo Montoya's name.
