Why should I be a Christian?

Please don't be rude. I just...want you to convince me to believe in the Christian/Baptist God. WHY do you believe in the Bible? Were you raised to, did you choose to later on? How does the Baptist church differ from other Christian churches?
And why are admins of this website rude to other religions? "False Religions and Cults: Catholics, Wiccans, Lutherans, Satanists, Mormons, and more!" Isn't that unnecessary? One that visits a Baptist website should assume no other religions are accepted, right?
Do Baptists follow everything in the Bible literally?

When science discovers something that disagrees with the Bible, what do you do? What does the church do? Does the church evolve or ignore it?

Please don't just quote Bible verses and speak with Biblical diction. I would like to fully comprehend this thread.

This forum is called THE INTRODUCTION FORUM for a rather obvious reason. You’re supposed to - lo and behold - introduce yourself.

Tell us about yourself, where you come from, how many children you have, what church you attend, and how you came to find Jesus Christ--or rather (as the case may be), why you have chosen to reject Him and spit in His Holy Face.

This is hardly a debate forum. There is no debate with God (John 17:17; 12:48). We (God’s Children) are absolutely, positively right and you are dead-to-rights wrong, according to the unchanging Word of God that abides literally forever…

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY WORDS shall not pass way.” (Matthew 24:35) (emphasis mine)

Out of the ever-loving and abundant mercies that flow from the throne of God Almighty Himself, we MAY let you stay around and post, but if we do, it will be with you following the rules and showing the utmost respect for God’s Word and His worshippers, which includes biblically observant Forum Members, but especially True Christians(™). Failure to comply will result in infractions, suspension, or outright banishment.

This is God’s Favorite and Most Friendly Message Board on the innerwebs. Please don’t post on it like the bathroom wall of a San Francisco night club as we do not suffer fools (or queers) gladly.

    Regards,

    Pastor Ed

Hello, foul sinner, I would like to help you on your path to Salvation©

We believe in The Bible because it is True™, and it is the Word of God

2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Habakkuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Jeremiah 36:2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Were you raised to, did you choose to later on?
I was raised a muslim, but luckily I realized it was a backwards culture with a message of death, so I switched to True Christianity™

How does the Baptist church differ from other Christian churches?

I can't speak for all Baptist Churches, as there are some false ones out there, But the thing that separates the LBC from other "Christian" groups is that we follow The Bible, even when it's inconvenient.

And why are admins of this website rude to other religions?
Can you be rude to an idea? I wasn't aware.

"False Religions and Cults: Catholics, Wiccans, Lutherans, Satanists, Mormons, and more!" Isn't that unnecessary?

If there is only One True God™, wouldn't that make all others, and their followers, false? Think about it

One that visits a Baptist website should assume no other religions are accepted, right?

We accept all forms of trash, just not the dead weight of their ridiculous culture. In order to become a member of Landover Baptist, you must be a True Christian™

Do Baptists follow everything in the Bible literally?
      Yes

When science discovers something that disagrees with the Bible, what do you do? What does the church do? Does the church evolve or ignore it?

      Science lies, it's a fact

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Timothy 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

Please don't just quote Bible verses and speak with Biblical diction. I would like to fully comprehend this thread.

Sorry, You came to the wrong place if you're looking for non-Biblical conversation.

Now that we have that cleared up, what's your favorite Bible verse?

      God Bless
      DAM
Psalm 137:8-9 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

My dear boy. No one here is rude to other religions in any way, shape or form. All the good True Christians do is attempt to advise unsaved trash, like you, to give up thier unholy and oftentimes demonic lifestyle.

As to you wanting a reason to love God, here's one:

        1 John 4:8

Hee that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue

There are hundred's more and, if you would only take the time, you can find them all yourself by picking up the Holy Bible (KJV 1611).

On another issue, the point of this forum is for you to introduce yourself properly and tell us about who you are, where you go to church, how many children you have spewed out for Jesus, etc.
        Isaiah 66:15

For behold, the Lord wil come with fire, and with his charets like a whirlewinde, to render his anger with furie, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

This is not an advertising website for Sears and Roebuck. We don't really care what you think.

Let me give you a short and direct answer to your question- All non Christians go to Hell and burn there forever.

I know you like to philosophize and go on and on, but if you could get that one known fact into your head, there may be hope for you.

BTW- What is your favorite Bible verse?
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

Hello, and welcome! I'd like ever so much to answer your questions. I LOVE talking about my faith! I could talk about Jesus and what He's done for me ALL DAY!

But before I spend my time doing that, I'd like to know with whom I'm talking. Where are you from, dear? What church do you go to? What is your favorite Bible Verse?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Re: Why should I be a Christian?

              Welcome friend.
There are two reasons to be a Christian.
              1) To Go to Heaven
              2) Not to go to Hell

              You're dead
Whether due to your own disgusting sinning or the Lords divine will, you are dead. Instantly your soul begin falling towards the black abyss above Hell. The falling seems eternal as you gather speed and the heat begins to grow. Then you notice a red dot below you growing larger by the second, this is the Lake in the center of Hell. It is the brightest point in Hell therefore it is visible for a great distance. Keep in mind that the farther you fall, the further from Christ you are.
As you gain speed and the flames become apparent you may wonder how you can stop this from happening. The answer is simple. It's too late and you can't, you're doomed. Your soul is damned and it WILL happen. The temperature is now approaching the unbearable limit as your flesh begins to smoulder and ignite and you continue to build speed as you plummet toward the now visible boiling Lake of Fire. You can almost make out individual souls thrashing in the magma with your flaming eyesockets. Soon you will join them, your terror mounts as your screams become gargled with the stench of Hells evil smell. The heat becomes excruciating as you notice your skin peeling away and your bones becoming visible and black. Flaming and screaming in anguish, you splashdown into the acidic brimstone of Satans Lake at around 250 MPH. You are instantly vaporized and reformed as a tormented soul writhing in absolute terror in the deafening depths of the Lake that Burns Eternal. The pain is beyond comprehension as you gnash your teeth so hard they shatter in your mouth. Satan periodically plucks you from the flames to savagely rape repeatedly and casually tosses you to his infernal minions to rip apart and rape at will, only to be reformed and have this scenario repeated...over and over and over, forever.
Is it still funny mocking our mission to Save your soul? We want you to enjoy Heaven and eternal praise and worship at the feet of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unless you are Saved™ by Jesus Christ and His Holy website and favorite church, Landover Baptist, there is no other way to avoid this.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
