My father, after careful consideration, granted me permission to fellowship with you all. I greet the sisters with a friendly hug and the brothers with my eyes cast to the floor. I am Naomi Ruth, 23, as of yet unmarried (Father wouldn't grant permission to the last five suitors) but open to finding a pious, Christian gentleman. It is not a man that I seek here, but only to draw closer to my Lord Jesus. I discovered my sinful nature under the teaching of my parents. At 10 years of age, I accepted our Lord and begged forgiveness of my transgressions. My favorite verse from our Holy Bible: Exodus 21:28: If an oxe gore a man, or a woman, that they die, then the oxe shal be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten: but the owner of the oxe shall be quitte. I learned this verse at Clifton Falls Christian School in first grade. My parents took me out of that school and homeschooled me from that point since they learned non-Baptists were allowed to attend. I long to be a part of your family. While you are somewhat long in the tooth for a Godly man to consider for marriage, don't give up hope just yet. You sound like a courteous lady brought up correctly by a loving man of God.

I agree that if you offer up your pie to as many True Christian(tm) bachelors as possible, you may still find a man willing to take you as his own, and to produce many fine sons to carry on the work of God.

Even though I am married, I am hankering for a nice juicy piece of your cherry pie.

The slice of pumpkin seems the most suitable for the season, thank you. Perhaps you can bring it to Sunday's service. But I warn you, my late wife's pies were of high caliber, so I may be desensitized to anything of mediocrity (rest her soul).

I would be concerned if he didn't own any rifles. A good Christian man should always be packing heat to hunt or defend his family (especially against the descendants of Ham). The transaction of this pumpkin pie lies on the decision of your father, it may either be delivered by mail or I can come claim it when I am in Clifton on business. Either way, I am in a state of longing for a good slice of pie, however I shall pray to the LORD to deflect any form of gluttony Satan is attempting to subdue me with.

My father once met a buddhist when he served our country in the armed forces. He said the buddhist often did something he called "chanting," involving a mantra. Perhaps that is similar to your marsupial - I don't know - but Father said this man believed he would reach a state called enlightenment by doing these chants - eventually. Father fragged him one night out of mercy. He said God told him to. My father only does what God orders. I'm so sorry, but I must help Mother fold the sheets. (She despises folding fitted sheets so!) We don't all make it to Heaven. One reason is set out in I Timothy 2:13-15 and although I'm not questioning your faith, charity, holiness or sobriety those are not the only conditions. For further information I could recommend our own Rev'd Jim Osborne who specialises in teaching sound doctrine.

I sometimes include an attractive animal when greeting newcomers to make a more informal ..er ..is ambiance the right word? That one is from Tasmania.

TRANCE

God did not make us to go into trances, which is another word for demon possession. If he wanted us all in harmony with the æther we could do that before we were born. What He does want certainly requires all of our being to be fully engaged. The state we finish up in after we die is not the same as the state we were in before we were born. For buddhists, with their droning and their trances and their little bells, the objective is not like that. They hope to die in the same condition as when they were born: brim full of sin.

ROMANS 10
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16a But they have not all obeyed the gospel.

Only through Jesus can we find Salvation and that is not possible zoned out on top of a mountain. How could anyone hear The Good News like that?

They couldn't.
