Hello from UK

Hello from the United Kingdom.

I attend a Local Church in Scotland and my favourite Bible verse is Rev 3:20.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

This was the verse that lead me to realise that Jesus was on the outside and wanted a relationship with me and it was up to me to answer his call.

I came here entirely by accident while looking for study materials but like everything, its God's plan for me to be here now and I pray that the reason will be made clear whether its to be a regular contributor to the forum or if its just going to be a source of good reference material

I am however new to using the forum and would appreciate time to settle in and also that mailings calling me "unsaved trash" would stop. I realise I should have perhaps introduced myself before contributing but the Lords work IS and always will be perfect. MY salvation was not of my doing but due to his perfect COMPLETED work.

To my brother who said those diminishing words I forgive you and will keep you in my prayers as you no doubt will have done when thinking I was unsaved

Anyway I hope that this forum is both enlightening and will be able to help me on my journey in this nation! Goodness knows the UK is in some state at the moment and needs your prayers!

Welcome to our friendly forums, young lady! Don't worry about being called unsaved trash, as soon as the DOP has investigated and your credentials as an honest Christian have been confirmed all will be well.

We get a lot of people who sign up just to mock Jesus so forgive us our trespass, in this.

A word of advice...here we recognize only the True Word™ of God as given by the 1611 King James Version. The verse you cite is actually:

Revelation 3:20 (1611 King James Bible)

Behold, I stand at the doore, and knocke: if any man heare my voyce, and open the doore, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

You are right though, with God there are no accidents, He did bring you here for a reason, as He did for all of us. Praise Jesus!

Also, as mentioned above, we all begin here with the title "Unsaved Trash." Once our Pastors have determined you are legitimate and not a troll in disguise come here to defecate on Baby Jesus, your title will be changed.

So, look around our friendly forums, and feast on the wealth of information to be found here. I've only been here 36 days, and my strength in Christ has been greatly increased.

I am quite wary of the Scottish; especially ones named Figo. It reminds me of my great-grandmother's dog, Fido. Once you have proven yourself as a person after God's heart, my welcome will be much warmer; however, as my brothers in Christ have said, many trolls join this site only to try and urinate in the lemonade (Fresh Squeezed, thank you) of our Lord. I, for one, do not want Jesus coming to my lemonade stand only to find bodily fluids. No, I want him to drink a tall, cool and refreshing lemonade and to spread the word that my lemonade is da bomb.
