Some of the Highlanders were even members of the Roman cult. Here in America they faced the wrath of the heathen Indians and wiped them out. In the process, most of my ancestors were saved. Glory!

They moved on to Alabama to kill off other induns and to settle other lands, before coming on to Texas where there were many Romans who needed pacification, to say nothing of the Comanches, who were more fierce than the induns they had to smite on the east coast. We are still here, as the Romans have proved numerous and there is still much work to be done before we move off to California to do God's work there.
Thank you for the warm welcome, Brother Alvin, and continued blessing be upon your house.

Those who begat you were truly living the Word for His Glory as in Romans 8:31-32 and Romans 8:37
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
The native savages and papists attempted to persecute us and hinder us in the Godly pursuit to remake this great land for Him, but God's people will always win. There can be no question to the Righteousness of Our Cause.

I was quite puzzled at the belief, which is quite common in the Carolinas, that the Bar-B-Que (or BBQ, as we abreviate it) in the Carolinas is better than the BBQ in Texas. That was amusing. In Texas, we didn't even know there was a contest. In fact, most Texans don't even know that there is BBQ in the Carolinas, though the BBQ in question is actually pork and not qualified for the title BBQ without a disclaimer, like BBQ Pork, or something like that. BBQ is beef. Also, pretending that mustard should be used in BBQ sauce is a crime in Texas, FYI.

Again, welcome to you and please tell us more about your walk with Jesus.

    God Bless!
It is true that each and every proud Southern, Caucasian male from these North & South Carolinas will exclaim the unyielding dominance of their particular kind of BBQ til even a Christian is tempted to tell them to "shut the Fred up!" These same individuals often have never even traveled beyond the borders of their county to taste any BBQ other than their own, either.

As a recovering SDA I have just recently abandoned a world of Veggie-Tales and entered into the bliss that can only be found in God, Guns, and Meat. God has chosen to bless me with an appetite for ribeyes, slow-cooked pork ribs and shoulders. I have no use for any sauce on pork (or beef for that matter). Dry rub and the natural juicy-ness that is slow-cooked pork is the way for me.

In my opinion, the real tragedy over the use of the word "barbecue" happens in the Northeast (they haven't figured out how to shorten it to BBQ yet). They call any type of grilling: barbecuing.

Then they don't even have the decency to slow-cook their meats.

If you ever find yourself in these hills, follow your nose to our cooking pit and commune with us, Brother. We can always make a place at the table for someone that looks and believes just like us, differences in BBQ preferences aside, of course.

As Southern Christian White Men our way of life is under constant threat of persecution and attack from all sides by Satan and his minions.

We bear a heavy burden, as you know, and nothing comes easy for us, but we will prevail with His help and guidance.

                Thank you, Sister.

I live my life to serve one God with unquestioning, blind allegiance. I am truly blessed to have found a place this welcoming and to be here where everyone looks and thinks so similarly to the way I do.

There is nothing Earthly I wouldn't give up for the fellowship I've found here amongsts you all, where I am free of the near constant persecution that we Christians endure for our Faith in Him.

Christ be with you always, Mrs. Lamb

I extend my welcome and hope that GOD has finally put you straight, your memory seems splendid (I must humbly say I cannot remember the number of times a word shows up, that's why I keep my maid's son around, she being a sinful meixicana sinner GOD has justly given her a son who has the autiostic disease) BUT more than counting the words it's remembering the gist of what the KJV says.

And "high places" and burnings all smell of BAAL,

Numbers 22:41 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.

Psalms 78:58 For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

Our GOD is a jealous GOD and though you seem to be on the path I must urge you to abandon ALL your previous satanic habits.

I hope, but I am sure JESUS KNOWS, that you didn't mean to be worshiping demons in the mountain, but even HIS patience has a limit.

Thank you for the warm welcome and allow me to return the regards and extend my blessings. After reading your re-introduction thread, let me say that I'm truly pleased that our God has seen fit to allow you to survive your time among the savages and has brought you back to be with His favorite flock once again.

Surely there are those lurking in these hills that claim to be Christian men of the mountains, but as you have so astutely pointed out, these are the remnants of the worshipers of the false idol, Ba'al!! Even those men, like Pastor Gizzard, who are doing God's work of burning all Bibles that are not the KJV 1611 can be stroked by the hand of Satan until their eyes roll to the backs of their heads in what I assume is tormented convulsions.

Let me reassure you that my compound is in a deep holler that affords me no sense of false pride. I suffer the persecution of the raw sewage flowing from my fancy-pants, up-the-hill neighbor's privy everyday. The smell I wear would hopefully not enrage our God, but you seem to know more about this than I do.

I so appreciate your concerns and thoughtful guidance. I still seek to shed any stinky remnants of the Adventists' Satanic influence over me that I have yet to be freed of.

                    Please pray for me.

We ALL pray when JESUS may be set on saving a worthless sinner.

It is HIS JOY and HIS CHOICE.

It is also, for us at LBC, the gentle happiness of finding a long lost brother when it is confirmed as a TRUE CHRISTIAN.

Let us hope you can cast aside your devilish past and join JESUS
