Re: Greetings from the Mother Country

    Dear Alex the Russ

Ah the Language of Pushkin & Chekov, the Music of Tchaikovsky & Mussorgsky ,the enigmatic alphabet. Some say inspired by Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius(of the then only church available) to lead the Russ & Bulgar onto the Path of Light!

May your life be long to appreciate the language of Keats & Kipling in the original. It is all written the same, English that is, but the pronunciation does differ in diverse parts of this Vale of Tears

Prov.21 [16] The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

Is that the Reverend Tone who's rumoured to be turning Catholic? I'd take the opinions of anyone who aspires to worship a paedophile with more than a pinch of salt if I were you.

Yeah, but being the best poet in Russia is sort of being like the most sober guy in Ireland (or the most sober guy in Russia, for that matter.) There's really not that much competition.

Going by its electoral prefences, one of the most Godly and patriotic areas in the entire nation. God Save the Queen and may the Mahommedans be damned and confounded!
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

            Esteemed Nobar, old fellow,

Do have a browse here, just to get a feeling of the Mother Land

            アメリカカントリー文化をもっと日本で知ってもらうことが出来るように、American Country channel TVでは、誤解して伝わっているアメリカンカントリーをご紹介。

            Do enjoy.

(You may need a translator if you venture too far North, into Brother Temperance's Parish, but you will be fortified with strong Yorkshire ea, I commend it!)
