Hello, my name is Jonsie I am a wife to a wonderful husband and the mother of 12 beautiful children. At the moment I attend a very tiny church with only 5 members. We are a baptist church in central Australia and unfortunately do not have a name at the moment. As my family lives in a very remote area we are forced to travel 11 hours in order to attend church every Sunday morning (We leave Saturday morning and spend Saturday evening at the pastor's house). My favourite bible verse is Proverbs 23:13-14 "Withhold not correction from the child: for [if] thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die", because it shows that children are often treated too softly by their parent's in the modern world. Children are more hardy than people think and should be treated as such. I found christ when my parents told me about him as a child. I have always tried to follow the way of the light and have sometimes faltered, but each time I have begged Jesus for my soul and have been placed back in the way of the light.

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
Well Praise God! Finally, an honest Austrian who understands the importance of attending church, even if it is inconvenient! After all, what's 22 hours of traveling time per week when the alternative is spending an eternity in constant torture in Hell?
So how do you survive with no water down there where the fires burn all the time?Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
I know the travelling means nothing for our family, although some of the younger ones occasionally objects but soon they will learn that it is more important for the sake of our souls. God has blessed us with a small river that runs near our farm allowing us to have enough water for our family.Originally posted by Mary Etheldreda View PostWell Praise God! Glory to God, Jonsie!
Welcome to our friendly and uplifting forums. It is our sincere desire that you will come to know Jesus in the way we do, and not in the way that most of the world does, for the way of the world is a pathway laden with many thorns that were cleverly placed there by satan in an attempt to keep us from knowing the Savior as He wishes us to know Him, which is with the clarity that He chooses.
May He continue to bless you as you travel back and forth to worship Him. Our Lord would love for you to travel 11 hours one way to give all the glory to Him that He deserves, and then perhaps some day if He chooses, He will allow you to live forever and ever. What A God He is.

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
It sounds as though the Church should be planted on your farm. The other 5 members of the Church could much more easily travel in a normal car to your place, than you taking the bus with 14 occupants to theirs!
What's the nearest big town to you?

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
We have discussed the possibility of this, but at the moment this would be impossible as 4 of the other members are over 90 and are unable to travel long distances. We have suggested that the other members move into our home with us, but we are still praying for God to show us the right course of action.Originally posted by Mother Of Seven View PostIt sounds as though the Church should be planted on your farm. Well, those 4 will be in Heaven soon. Maybe wait until then and move the 5th member in with you, unless he is a boomerang chucker.

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
Hello and welcome, Joan!
It is always refreshing when someone has the manners to post a proper introduction.
We get so many inconsiderate fools here who do not take the time to look around first to find what is expected of them.
I am compelled by Christ to ask you if your husband has given you permission to post here. I ask because I don't even allow my wife to be present when I am online, given the ability of very inappropriate pictures to suddenly appear at any given moment.

New here? Desiring to be pleasing in the eyes of The Lord and His Followers?
Then do as directed by our esteemed Pastors and head on over to the Introductions subforum and make your first post there, friend. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus. Anything else you want to share with us about how Jesus has blessed you is welcomed too.
Are you a hater of God that believes He is a morally bankrupt monster? Read Why, you ask, is God so angry? to see that it is in fact you that is the monster that mercilessly and infinitely torments God.
Stop this relentless torturing of God and accept Jesus today!

I have been given permission by my husband to post on this site but my oldest son must be present each time I access the computer. I would never dream of doing such a thing without my husband's express permission.Originally posted by Mark L. Snyde, PhD View PostHello and welcome, Joan!

Great to hear! Thank you for making this clear. It is also good training for your son to supervise a woman's actions, even if it is his own mother.Originally posted by Jonsie View PostI have been given permission by my husband to post on this site but my oldest son must be present each time I access the computer. Whenever my wife needs rebuking, I make sure to do so in front of my sons so they are led by example to see how a strong Godly man firmly but lovingly treats his wife.sigpic

You must be very proud off him.
YIC1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Re: Just thought I should introduce myself
Welcome, Jonsie, to our friendly forum. God has brought you here due to His great love for you, that you may have intercourse with others who know God.
I have often wondered, in the past, why the Lord sent such great tribulations among the Australians. Your continent, if you can properly call it that, is beset by fires, great waves, mighty sharks awaiting just offshore, Indonesians, droughts, dust storms, floods and Richard Chamberlin, who was correctly cast as a Roman priest, but who is a raving homosexual both on and off the screen.
I have since learned that your country is full of beer drinking atheists. Since Australians do nothing but drink beer and attempt to copy American barbeque techniques (without success), I find that the punishments visited upon Australia to be evidence of God's great hatred for alcohol drinkers.
Only the presence of the few Christians in Australia, like yourself, has kept the Lord from submerging that place into the sea, in my opinion. Also, the Lord is probably hopeful that there will be a great revival of love for Jesus in your country, so as to provide a bulwark of White people (Christians) to prevent the spread of the heathen Chinamen who are near to your country.
We are glad you have come and we hope to hear your testimony, living as you do on the front lines, so to speak.God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11
