  • Greetings!

I am so happy to have discovered a group of like minded True Christians!

I was saved a few years ago, prior to that I had been prevented from hearing the Word by my athiest parents. (They are divorced, unsaved, remarried to others, etc.) Thankfully I met a nice Baptist family here is Salem (a terrible place with only 51% church attendance), this family was able to reach out through the love of Christ and introduce me to God's Love and God's Wrath.

I currently attend college, studying religious philosophy in an attempt to learn how to bring others to Christ. I also work at a gym as I believe we must maintain our good health for many reasons, not the least among those reasons is the need to provide the best temple of flesh for the Holy Spirit to inhabit. If my body is too uncomely then the Spirit may not wish to guide me to His Will. I hope my work at the gym can help others welcome the Spirit into their bodies and lives.

I am but a young man, living alone as my parents obviously should be stoned to death as soon as I get the opportunity, and still seek a good Christian wife. I wish for a white women, dedicated to the Lord and fully understanding that I shall be the Head of Household. She must understand that the Good Lord guides my mind and hand in all decisions, especially in the discipline of those in my house.

I am eager to learn more about how those of you who are more spiritually mature than myself have come to live.

Thank you for this opportunity to journey together along God's path.

Hello dear, and welcome to our forums. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

      Re: Greetings!

I attend Faith Baptist here in Salem, OR. My favorite verse is Hebrews 12:11.

"For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."

It speaks to me on so many levels. God disciplines us in so many ways and we must accept that with the understanding that it is for our own good. Through His discipline we are guided along His Divine Path. Through the Lord's Discipline we become righteous.
It also applies directly to the rearing of children and the submission of wives.
As we are told it Timothy 2:12 that women should not hold authority over men, rather they should be silent. I feel that Hebrews 12:11 firmly guides us that women are taught their place (silent and submissive) through discipline.

        Re: Greetings!

Finding Jesus deserves this separate post (and SO MUCH MORE!).

Before my salvation I had problems with depression. I had been indoctrinated into the athiest philosophy of life having no meaning. At multiple points I tried to end my life.

At one time I tried to end my life in a public place. A woman, fully embracing the Holy Spirit, realized that I was battling demons and she removed the knife from my hand. Typically I would say this was a bad call as she could be seen as having authority over me, a man, but instead I realize that at that moment I was possessed by a demon. She wasn't exercising authority over a man, she was doing God's Will against a demon.

God weakened me physically at that time so that she could remove the knife, surely no woman could have removed the knife from my hand without God working to help.

She showed me the beginning of the path by giving me the Bible she had with her. Later, her family of Baptists embraced me as a son and helped me come to grips with the spiritual awakenings instigated by God's Divine Word.

I know nothing about Salem, except that it has something to do with witches. Is it a witch's coven, or did they get rid of the witches? (as I said, I know nothing about it)

              To Mother of Seven,
The witches are in Salem, MA rather than Salem, OR. Unfortunately the similar name has lead to some of the pagans and satanists in this city to think they should adopt similar practices. If only the burnings were still legal.

                Pastor Ezekial,

Of course! I would never dare to mock those whom are so much further along their Christocentric spiritual journeys. My purpose here is to learn and perhaps my presence and zeal can aid those who have lost their spark for the Word of the Good Book.

                  Re: Greetings!

Oh, and I have been able to maintain my purity, though there have been many an attempt. Just last week a man over twice my age propositioned me to be 'piffle buddies.'
Never before have the attempts of the queer been so forward. I dearly wish I could stone a few of them to put the fear of God's Wrath into the rest.
Not only would they leave me be, but perhaps the fear would bring them to renounce their lives of sin and join a proper church rather than their unitarian hippy crap.
