  • Hello to the LBC community

    Hello all,
I am Candice, 19 years of age and happily engaged. I was attending an Australian Christian church, close to my parents house, until I met my fiancee while he was visiting from Iowa. I want to be able to join the Landover Baptist Church, have my wedding and settle down with him in Freehold.

I joined the LBC forums to get to know the community and talk over my wedding before the big move. Being surrounded by like-minded people is comforting, and I hope being part of the church will bring me closer to Jesus.

    Welcome to our friendly forums!

What church do you go to, what is your favourite Bible verse and when did you start your walk with Christ?

    God bless.
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

What is his name? I can't recall any Freehold residents asking for an Abo Betrothal Waiver®.

Re: Hello to the LBC community

        Hello Dr Lawrence,
Thank you for your very friendly welcome,

As for your questions, in Melbourne I attended a large Baptist church in the city centre. It had a lovely community but with so many people as it is situated in a big city, I didn't get to know many of the members very well.

I myself find it very difficult to choose one bible verse as my favourite, but I always found Ephesians 5:22-24 very important, especially as a young woman.

I was raised in a good Christian home and every night was read the bible, but I never really began to feel the power of the Lord until my early teens At a time when the other adolescents began drinking, smoking and partaking in perverted activities, I found a comfort in the bible and my church. I began seeing the truth around me, and was driven to become a true believer in God and his kingdom.

        Thanks again

        Candice

          Hello Zechariah,

I am sorry I didn't make myself clear, both my fiancee and I are wishing to join LBC. Both of us were born and raised baptist but he insisted on moving to a closer church community. His name is Nathan and was born in Dallas but moved to Johnston at 18 months.

          I apologise for any misunderstanding,

          Candice

Everyone wishes to join LBC but only few are actually accepted. Serve Jesus 24/7 by following His Holy Bible for 100% and given time Jesus will bless you beyond your wildest imagination.

On a more serious matter, why did your fiance not marry you yet? At your age you should have 4 kids already.

Welcome. What sort of work can your fiancés do besides blowing on the pipe to make a guttural sound? Does he send sparks from a fire to meet the heavens? Does he fashion articles of clothing from crocs?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Welcome to our friendly forums, Candice. How interesting that you chose the name "Christian Beauty." I should think God would be the judge of that, and not we ourselves.

So let me be sure I understand: your future husband is in Iowa? How old is he? I would love to send him a special gift of pie and I could easily fly to where he is (with my father's permission) and see the joy in his face as he devours its moistness and flavor. Please let me know how to contact him, preferably before you tie the blessed knot.

God has led you to us for a reason. Pray daily for His guidance, and continue to immerse yourself in His Word. We shall happily aid you as you strive to become more Christlike in your walk.

                In Him,
                Naomi Ruth

PS: Don't forget to give me your man's contact information. Perhaps I can let you know if he's truly the man for you before you commit too deeply.

                  Hello Cranky Old Man,

Yes, I understand how almost everyone would love to part of this church community and my fiancée and I are no exception. During this time of great change for me I hope I will be able to prove myself to God in every shape and form.

I thank you for your concern on my age and marriage, In a perfect world I would have married at 15 but the Australian Government was unfortunately highly against the marriage. I disagree with my government's point of view on the matter but thank goodness the homosexual demons are not allowed to marry in my country.

                  Much love,

                  Candice

                    Hello James Hutchins,

I appreciate your concern for my fiancée's job and main source of income. He is currently a director of finances at a large private Baptist school in Melbourne's east. He loves his job and is saving for his first house.

                      Hello Naomi Ruth Lamb,
What a pleasure of you to welcome me,

I agree, God is the only person to label any one woman as a beauty, but I was struggling for a name to use in these forums. I thought to use my full maiden name Candice Henderson but as I wanted to take my fiancée's name Gibson after I married. Naming myself Candice Gibson before I am married is improper, so I decided to use a pseudonym instead, so I could post on the forum before and after the marriage. I am sorry to anyone in the LBC feels like ChristianBeauty is a unsuitable name as if so I will work to change it.

I thank you very so much for you kindness Mrs Lamb, but unfortunately my husband is not living in Iowa currently. He decided to rent his own house here in Melbourne, but in less than 3 months hopefully we will be in Iowa for good. I hope you two will be able to meet just before our marriage, when we will be staying at his parents house, in two separate rooms, for a month to finalise the marriage and complete tasks that would not be possible from Australia. When that happens you will be able to call Mr and Mrs Gibson.

I thank you again for you loving word, and I deem this move to be the thing that brings me closer to Jesus than ever before.

                      God bless,

                      Candice

Australia or wherever, I should meet this man before you make such a move. As a True Christian(TM) I can assess his viability as a husband and provide you with a discreet report that will ensure your complete satisfaction. Just tell me via private message his exact address, what his favorite pie is, and the times he is usually at home. I am more than happy to make this sacrifice for you, my sweet, sweet sister. Is he handsome? I'm not sitting on a plane for hours on end for some lackluster belly buster. May our LORD continue to smile upon you and yours.

ChristianBeauty, you are wise in your decision to only meet Sister Lamb with your fiancé or husband. We know that she is getting desperate as an old maid; desperate to find a husband as she's now 'on the shelf'.
I'm sure you are a true beauty. Sister Lamb is just jealous now that she's an old hag with wrinkles and a cooter that will never know a man. Rejoice young Candice in your youthful God-given beauty.
