    Re: The Lord pervades me

Pastor Ezekiel, This is a photo of my husband immediately after the liberation of his POW camp from those bastard nips. (Oh Lord, forgive me for that language, but I can't help myself when I think of what they did to my dear beloved).

He was flogged for trying to pick some grass with his toes, so that he could eat, as he was starving. And he was a war hero. Do you really think that he'd have anything to do with a slant after that?

Sister (may I call you Sister? I hope we - possibly the most senior ladies on this site, though I believe some of the men are considerably older - may become friends), please do not think that we are ignoring this post. I for one was too shocked by the memories of that terrible time to respond immediately, without prayer.

My own late husband of course fought with the Hungarians in that dreadful war. He is no doubt now toasty warm in the Lake of Fire as a consequence, though not just of that!

But I well remember his half-brother, who had the good sense to opt for the victorious side, returning from the Far East in a similar condition. We were all enormously sympathetic, but he did tend to become a bore about it and by 1947 we had lost touch.

Do you really think that he'd have anything to do with a slant after that?
Well, one would hope not, though rumor has it that my brother-in-law was last seen in Thailand with one of those girly-men, as I think they are called. But it was my husband who told me that, and he may of course have been "projecting"?
